Studio Update!

Alright! It’s been a month, where have I been? Well after the last update I knew I had to re-balance a lot of how I spend my limited time working on studio stuff, what my goals are, and what is feasibly possible… So what do I mean by all that? 

I’m shifting gears to my dream project a bit faster than expected! As I’m sure you’ve seen above I have been working on tilesets and the world building of said brand new project! The expectations of what gameplay will look like are still very loose but my current inspirations are a darker tone of harvest games such as Stardew Valley, Rimworld style trading and crafting, and for the adult side, Trials in Tainted Space but with actual visuals haha. But the most important question is what will it be called?! I’m not sure yet, I have a lot of ideas but nothing solid yet haha. For the adult content it will follow all the same tags and content styles of LDR, so fear not if that was one of your main interests.

Now let's address LDR, if you would humour me, let me blab on for a second about why Lust, Death, Repeat ever became a thing in the first place. The original plan was to complete one or two chapters of LDR, honestly more to test the waters around my own capability more than anything else. The response to LDR on F95zone was exactly what I was hoping for, and I was planning to create multiple instalments of LDR! Unfortunately though I learned a lot of lessons about myself in that process. 

The time commitment, this rears its ugly head constantly in a project like LDR, finding the right content videos and pictures especially in a game dealing with bisexuality can take up astronomical amounts of time. Paired with writing a funny engaging story that you now have to tailor at every step to fit the content available is quite the challenge. To give a comparison over the last month I have hand created the above tilesets, re-learned C, dabbled in creating my own game engine, decided to work with Godot and about 10 into that endeavour. All that time translated over to LDR development would be maybe 1.5 to 2-ish events. 

Which leads into the main issue, I want something that’s my own, not something that is tied down to 300 different adult actors content and remaining ignorant to my use of it. It also allows me to design scenes to exactly what the writing calls for.

And I’m incredibly sorry if you are here just for Real style HTLM games and this news comes as bad news. I do know what I want to do for LDR’s first chapter but writing and getting the content for it will be put on hold until I have the time to properly sit and spend 8 hours a day. 

What to expect from 2025!

First! I’m incredibly grateful for everyone's support! I don’t want to put any time lines on this new project but with the design, creation of assets, and soon characters being so easy to show off, expect much more frequent updates on here and Discord! It would truly be my wet dream to have something playable and the moment I do I’ll be looking here to get play testers, so look forward to that!
