I’ve carefully reviewed your arguments—opinions, as usual, split drastically, and that’s completely fine. Maybe some people didn’t read the post closely enough, or maybe I didn’t communicate my point clearly.
We don’t need “just another guy.” We already have enough male characters and we don’t have the bandwidth to fully develop all of them. Dylan can only be interesting as a fetish element, not as yet another “character for the sake of having one.”
The “Tyler’s friend/brother” option is understandable, and I’ve said myself that it’s basically the only workable one. But as many players rightly pointed out, it leaves a big dirty stain on Emma’s past reputation. For the game to work, we need Emma to be a decent, proper woman someone the player corrupts (or chooses not to) during the story. Sex with her boyfriend (who is not Dylan, at least for now) is just a marker of temperament, but messing around with Tyler’s friend/brother is a bad idea.
The only compromise I see (if we’re not cutting the character entirely) is to keep Dylan as Tyler’s friend or brother, but completely rewrite Emma’s chat messages: remove any hints of a sexual relationship. She could have had a crush on Tyler’s brother, but for some reason it didn’t work out—and that doesn’t ruin Emma’s backstory. Then, if Tyler brings his into the house, it becomes a real fetish scenario that doesn’t break Emma’s image and creates sexual tension in the house. Also, of course, the guy in the flashback cannot be Dylan. Another option is to remove the choice entirely—Emma simply blocks Dylan, leaving a small secret in her life.
All other proposed options no offense don’t fit the game’s lore. And even this option, while feasible, is not something I want to do right now: I really dislike reworks. I have a “trauma” around them and I associate constant revisions with project degradation (my previous project suffered from that a lot). So we can keep this idea in mind, but revisit it later when the workload is lower and the main story branches are more or less locked in.

Вариант «друг/брат Тайлера» понятный, и я сам писал, что по сути это единственный рабочий вариант. Но, как справедливо отметили многие игроки, это оставляет большое грязное пятно на прошлом Эммы. А чтобы игра работала, нам нужна порядочная женщина, которую игрок развращает (или не развращает) уже по ходу истории. Секс с её бойфрендом (который пока не Дилан) — это просто маркер темперамента, а вот шашни с другом/братом Тайлера — плохая идея.
Единственный компромисс, который я вижу (если мы не вырезаем персонажа), — оставить Дилана другом или братом Тайлера, но полностью переписать переписку Эммы: убрать любые намёки на сексуальную связь. Она могла быть влюблена в брата Тайлера, но по каким-то причинам у них ничего не сложилось — это не портит предысторию Эммы. Тогда, если Тайлер приведёт её в дом, это будет реальный фетиш, который не ломает образ Эммы и создаёт сексуальное напряжение в доме. Также, конечно, парень из флешбека не может быть Диланом. Либо ещё вариант: мы можем убрать выбор — Эмма просто блокирует Дилана, и у неё останется в жизни небольшая тайна.
Все остальные предложенные варианты — без обид — под лор игры не годятся. При этом даже этот вариант, хоть и реален, я бы не хотел делать прямо сейчас: я очень не люблю переделки, у меня на этом месте «травма», и я связываю лишние переделки с деградацией проекта (предыдущий проект от этого сильно пострадал). Поэтому идею можно держать в голове, но вернуться к ней позже — когда будет меньше загрузки и когда основные сюжетные ветки будут более-менее закрыты.

I would just end Dylan as a meaningful character, and "label" him as history. As far as Incest is concerned, Incest has been sanctioned or allowed between first cousins by the Roman Catholic Church since the end of the end of the 19th. century. My parents were first cousins, and they had to petition Pope Pious XII in 1947 for a written dispensation in order to get married; my maternal Grandparents had the dispensation framed in wood and displayed in their home until they passed away in the early 1970s.

Also can i say i don't think adding a man to the house would work, you would have to change Tyler's personality completely and Emma. if you wanted to add a 3rd person to the house i think a woman would work far better, it could be someone from either work needed somewhere to stay, like Jill or Samantha. that would work in current game.
cut completely, its not needed. it was a option, this option doesn't work. your in danger of ruining your game, cut. its not worth your time and effort.
well you could have always have that Emma did not know he was Tyler's brother /friend cause she dated him long before meeting her husband and it was short , so when she finally met Tyler Dylan was not around ... I think you are overthinking it, Also why is she not allowed to have a life before Tyler, that does not make her bad , also having another man in the household for the corruption system creates interesting dynamic , its missed opportunity

I missed the last post but I kind of like him being buds or brothers with Tyler. Ah, hopefully not reopening something from the last post, but maybe he could have met Emma first and then for some reason Tyler won Emma, probably due to his absensce (maybe time in prison or something, idk?) Just an idea.
As i already stated in the last post: if the price to pay is a rework - i think it´s not worth the effort. I would not do it. I would simply keep the character out of the game in this case. It would be the same if you are not comfortable with an idea. My suggestion would be: if it does not feel right or comfortable, dont do it.
Or an action of this kind! Tyler's office is working on a project where something isn't right, so the project client sends a consultant to discuss the details, who turns out to be Dylan! Tyler works well with Dylan and has grown fond of him, so during the project, he suggests that Dylan stay at their house. This scenario could be super interesting! The guys don't know each other, and Dylan has no idea that Tyler is Emma's husband. What a shock and surprise it must be for Dylan when the door opens and Emma comes in, returning from work?!
Why not? I would be into that. Not just cheating at work but right under Tyler's nose, in his own house :) Of course, Novel will do with his creation whatever he thinks is right :)
For me Dylan isn't an important point for the story so I would not add to it
What if Dylan, who is harassing Emma via text messages, found out where she lives and showed up in town, following Emma and Tyler? One day, Tyler's car breaks down in town, and Dylan fixes it and helps tow it home. During the towing, he tells a story about how he came to town for a few days to take care of some important matters and has nowhere to stay. Out of gratitude for the favor, Tyler offers him a spare room in their house for a few days. Emma comes home unaware of Dylan's presence and cannot tell Tyler about their acquaintance. In that case, Tyler and Dylan wouldn't have to be brothers or even friends. They might not know each other at all, and Emma would have to pretend that Dylan is a stranger to her.
Personally, I would just junk this idea and keep the texting you already wrote, if she doesn't block him, maybe add some texting where he comes on too strong and Emma just blocks him out of fear, but that first texting adds mystery, the shame she experienced (whatever it is) and the therapy she went through provides us with a springboard for her possible corruption as the story progresses --- as far as Emma's image, she appears as more of a victim of some trauma with Dylan (we just don't know how). I think the story as it stands has enough corrupting "players" as it is. By all means though, I would keep this person out of the house. Complexity for the sake of complexity is IMO, not a good idea.
It's clear that you neither want nor have the time, so the best thing would be to get rid of Dylan. I hadn't realised that having a third person living in the house was a fetish for some people, which is why my messages were so disconnected. Have a great week 🫡!

She realizes that the "very same Dillan from her college memories (Damian in the current version of the game)" is now living under her roof, while her husband-knowing Dillan only by name-sees no problem with housing Jack Nelson (who is actually Dillan). Why this preserves Emma's image: She is a victim of circumstances. She did not invite him and did not seek this meeting. Her "decency" is threatened only because she is paralyzed by the fear of confessing: "Our new tenant is actually the man I had a relationship with back in college." Realism: In today's world, renting a room using forged documents over the internet is absolutely realistic. Game Plot: This confirms their past connection and gives Emma a solid reason for the "horror" she feels. It ties the plot to her hidden past without making Emma or Tyler responsible for Dillan's arrival. А зачем Тайлеру вообще сдавать кому то комнату? Проблемы с деньгами это проблемы с деньгами а сдавать комнату другому мужчине и вести с ним по сути общий быт и иметь дома постороннего человека внутри своего личного пространства который прстоянно в него врывается, это... какой Логикой может руководствоватся,Тайлер для этого? Одно дело если бы у них был второй дом, то ок, а тут в свой дом постороннего мужчину впускать... которого ты ни знаешь и который может не финансовые твои трудности решить а проблем подкинуть... идея такая себе с точки зрения Тайлера каким его вижу я. Он вспылил на Эмму из за Джастина, из за цветов подаренных ей Виктором а тут левый мужик в доме...
I still think he could be introduced into the story as an ex-boyfriend and discarded if Emma doesn't become corrupted, or introduced as a fetish if Emma is corrupted.
I’m not sure if this has been suggested yet, but what if Dylan is Tyler’s friend and also someone from Emma’s past before Tyler, someone she didn’t realize was connected to Tyler until after they were together. He meant something really intense and exhilarating and even dangerous or painful to her (the flashbacks we see earlier), and she still thinks about him, but she knows it’s wrong because he’s Tyler’s friend.
Well in my opinion you are doing a great job with this VN and with any direction that you go will be great....

It seems that cutting him out would work and give you more time to develop the characters that are in the already. My opinion.
There’s logic in what you’re saying.
I like the compromise! I actually was not too keen on them already having slept together - Dylan being hot for her without his brother/cousin/best friend knowing about it sounds intriguing And then as you say, we can play it the way we want. Ignore another of his attempts to hook up with her (forever) - or slowly corrupt where it becomes feasible that he moves in ... the house and more!

What if it is written as Tyler has been chasing her this whole time and Emma not wanting hurt her husband never said anything and then design a way in which Tyler gains some knowledge that he holds over her to push her finally in to his evil design
In any case, the chat dialogues would have to be completely rewritten. They just don’t fit at all. The sex in the memory scene doesn’t work either, because they were acting way too recklessly—someone would definitely have known. Everyone would have known. So merging them is 100% not an option.
Emma doesn't give the impression of being a nun, that is, a well-behaved girl before she got married, especially from the conversations she has with her friend. Anyway, I agree that at this point Dillan would just slow you down.
She’s not a nun, of course, but sleeping with the brother or friend of her future husband is too much. Especially since he would almost certainly know about it. And that means he wouldn’t invite him into his house.
I sometimes like to give my opinion, but I'm not a developer and I don't have the creative mind for it, so I continue as always, trusting in your work and always waiting for the next update, because every time it comes, I like the project even more.
