I changed the left/right click behaviour in the players list and removed the right click, when left clicking players it will now show both the selected laps lines and the player data, you can hide those with the checkboxes in the status bar.

Left clicking a player in the players data list will enable follow mode, checking the "Auto select lap" will select the lap depending on the timeline position, which means only the relevant lap lines will be shown on the map.

PS: I only tested the Windows version with Wine, let me know if you are experiencing any problem.
