Why this page?
Virtual Steward is and will always be free and available on Overtake but since I often struggle with motivation (and download numbers are pretty low, honestly) I made this page to get a measure of the actual level of interest in the project.
So, if you are actively using it or like what I'm doing, just subscribe here (even just as free members will be appreciated) to let me know and stay updated about any new release.

You are a legend mate, somehow I was struggling to understand how the "DRIFT AI" servers were spun up, turns out it was all of Virtual Steward. A LOT of drifters in Assetto were curious on how to start their own servers - myself included. Now that I have figured it out, I am working on YouTube tutorial for the same.
Sorry to disappoint you but they are not using Virtual Steward, it doesn't work as a server because it can't accept more than a single connection and I don't plan on changing that because it would mean replicating most of a server behaviour. But, the first iteration was actually working in reverse, meaning it was acting as a client and "streaming" the replay car position to a server. Even that one was limited to a single car but it would probably be easier to remove that limit. If there is interest in such a feature I could try and make a plug-in for AssettoServer but since there are servers running something similar it means there already is a tool to do that.

Hi, sorry to hear you're having trouble with Virtual Steward. If the app crashes without you doing anything it could be because of some replay or car file, since I load them in the background. Could you please do some testing? In the VS folder there should be a "Virtual Steward.ini" file, please open it with Notepad, you'll find something like this: ACPAth=C:\Program Files (x86)\Steam\steamapps\common\assettocorsa ReportsFolder=C:\Users\\Documents\Virtual Steward\Reports ReplaysFolder=C:\Users\\Documents\Assetto Corsa\replay Please edit the ACPath and the ReplayFolder ones to make them invalid, like adding an underscore _ at the end, save the file and start VS. If it's not crashing, remove the first underscore and start VS again. Repeat with the second underscore if not crashing. If the .ini file is not there it must be something else since it means VS crashed even on the first run. Or maybe your AC folder is the default one, in that case you could try creating the .ini file yourself and pasting the above lines in it. Please, let me know if any of this tests lead to some results.
