Wonyoung was sick during this performance. She hits the offramp on some notes where she would normally stick the landing. You can see she has a heat pack in her hand that she occasionally holds to her throat. She normally looks more comfortable, also. She did great for the conditions. I love her voice.
Liz and her agility 🫶🏻
Yes! A vocal coach praising Wonyoung's vocals! So satisfying! Thank you for that! It is even more satisfying, since she was actually under the weather at the time of recording! For context, she is the it-girl in K-Pop with tons of individual brand deals. She is often reduced to her visuals and people basically criticize her for breathing! She actually is an 8-year veteran in K-Pop! She debuted in 2018 with IZ*ONE at the age of 14! Along with Yujin, who is only one year older. So having a 22 and 23-year old with 8 years of experience in the business is kind of insane.
the 6 7 move during Eleven is not choreo but a veeery viral meme from last year, kinda glad to see people who dont know it, it's refreshing lol OOTD means "outfit of the day" and you've actually already heard I Am, it's the song and MV that kinda inspired Golden.
Tim remember Ive’s song I Am is the one people said sounded like Golden so you did a side by side breakdown already awhile back
In the case of the name Rei. Rei is Japanese and her name is pronounced with an R, but in Korean, the problem is that both "r" and "l" are written as "ㄹ" in Hangul and are usually pronounced more like an "l," so Rei becomes Lei. Leeseo. In Hangul, it's written as 이서, which is more like eeseo, and the difference is due to the romanization. Because 이 is pronounced like "ee," but in romanization, when it's just "ee," they add an "L" at the beginning, making it Lee. for it to be pronounced as "lee" it would have to be written as 리, not 이. In the case of Korean names, the difference is usually due to the romanization. In the case of non-Korean names, the difference usually results from the lack of appropriate sounds for writing in Hangul. In other examples, there's no equivalent for the letter "F" and it's replaced by the sound "P" and Tiffany from Girls Generation is pronounced more like Tippany. Some idols often use several different pronunciations of their name depending on the country they are in. e.g. Giselle from aespa in Korea usually uses the Korean way of pronouncing the name, but everywhere else she uses the English pronunciation of the name
