Ayunda Risu - UNCUT 5 Song Study: '1:15 AM,' 'Weight of the World,' 'Sing Out,' 'Hoshi ga Furu' & 'MIR//or' (64 min)

Of course she sings just as well during lives and karaoke. Risu's friend, Michi Mochievee (the same Michi you did a song study on) joked about how hard it is to go up after Risu during their karaoke nights lol. No one could argue with her as she was showing her chat a live performance of Risu completely nailing Suisei's Stellar Stellar.

Risu is an absolute monster in the sea of incredibly talented singers in Hololive. Her HoloFes performance of MIR//or earlier this year was super interesting because she sang her own duet with a "hologram" version of herself on stage. The first time anything like that had been showcased at Fes. I try to follow Risu as best as I can despite the timezone differences, but I missed the release of As Stars Fall. It got me a few weeks later when it popped up on random while I was working around the house. I had to go sit down. Sometimes a song just overpowers you with how beautiful it is, and Risu is so good at just relentlessly assaulting you with her massive voice. She recently hit 1 million subs on Youtube after a painfully long time and she deserves every last one.

I think its a fun idea to just do the 5 song studies as usual and if something grabs your attention just do a seperate deep study. Would love to see you disect the songs that got your attention!

Ayunda Risu always blows the crowd away when performing at the yearly concerts Hololive does (HoloFes) I remember at the first one she did, one of her JP Senpai compared her to Celine Dion in terms of her performance and vocals. Risu also (previous to current events) would perform a lot with one of the Holostars- Aragami Oga- because they shared a birthday and debuted very close together. He's got an incredibly deep singing voice and on your Holostars 5 song study was the one you kept listening out for due to that Bass tone.

Can never get enough Risu. Her accent always really intrigues me.

Thank you so much for this bundle study! This is one I've been looking forward to in a long time. I was introduced to the Hololive rabbit hole right about the time Elizabeth debuted and I was so stunned by her vocals, but on the community I keep seeing people bringing up Risu and saying she's up there on par with Liz, and I was reluctant in checking her out. But as soon as I was introduced to her music I was absolutely floored by how much control she has on her vocals and how versatile she is. She is also such an expressive singer that I feel like for some of the performances, the post editing doesn't quite do her justice. She is one of the few performers that I keep finding her live performances surpassing the recorded, polished version. She recently participated in a competition held by Pekora, one of her JP senpai and her performance there was as raw, as live as it could be and that performance gave her the final push she needed to reach a million subscribers! I am going to submit a request later and I definitely recommend checking it out just to see with minimum to no editing, how Risu still managed to floor everyone! Also if I may point out, I think in MIR//or where she hit the high note in the chorus, I believe the first time was the Risu voice doing it, but the second and third time they switched and Ayunda was doing the high note, but because it was very high and sharp it did sound like the Risu voice there

One last comment, Sorry for being excited. She has released two complimentary music videos for Mir//or, one with only Risu and one with only Ayunda singing. Definitely worth checking out later.

Sing out has a lot of references (both lyrics and visuals) to the other hololive ID girls, Risu has said that is it a "what if" song about her feelings if she was left alone without her friends if a post apocalypstic world. It's often said that Sing out could be an anime opening just as Hoshi ga Furu could be an anime ending song.
