Attack on Titan S3 E52 - 'Descent'

Attack on Tuesday!❤️‍🔥

Attack on Tuesday!! While I do agree they def dropped the ball, I think they were being overtly cautious out of worry about Bertholdt transforming causing the entire inner city team to be wiped. I think if they wanted to finish off Reiner, they likely would've had to accept that a part of the team would have to give up their lives to achieve it. Had they been under command of Erwin there, I think that's likely what would've played out but I don't think Hange is as ready to make that sort of choice! Armin was trying to talk things out, but also play for time to give the team a chance to wrap around to Reiner- but what Armin missed was that Bertholdt was doing the same to give Reiner the chance to move / turn around to help protect his real body from his transformation and any potential attackers! I think what makes Bertholdt so interesting in this episode though is that he's set his resolve and accepted he'll be the bad guy. Up until now he's done what he had to do but reluctantly; while also dealing with Reiner's split personality or whatever you may call it. He recognizes it can all be over soon and I think this ''nightmare'' being over and being able to return home is ultimately more important to him than any moral complex he had prior to this. It really feels like he's come to terms with the ''crime'' ontop of his care for his comrades (our squad!) and realizing those two don't have to be exclusive despite what he's about to do. Upcoming episodes are INSANE though so I'm STOKED to see your reactions!

Ah yes, *those* episodes are coming...

In all past transformations, Bertholdt transformed standing on the ground I think. Now in that case he transformed high up in the air, imagine what power will unfold when a 60 meters tall, steam blasting, tons heavy object crashes from high up to the ground. I think that's mainly where the "atomic bomb" comes from. The next few episodes will be huge... 7 episodes to go in season 3... and then finally season 4... I'm so looking forward to your reaction on the opening of the new season :D

Attack on Tuesday! I think the reason they didn't finish off Reiner when they had the chance is because they thought they already had. His head was blown off (it's not really shown clearly, but at the end of the episode, you can see his face is starting to regenerate) and they didn't know he could transfer his consciousness into his titan body. Regarding the Colossal Titan, it is supposed to be 60 meters tall and Rod Reiss' titan was stated to be twice as big, but in this arc in particular, it frequently looks way bigger than that for dramatic effect. It exploding like that upon transformation is a new thing, though it has always had an ability to rapidly emit steam, and I think this is just a much more powerful version of that ability.

next episode erwin has his best moment in the show quite frankly one of the most iconic moments in the show. Its a speech you neeeeed to rewatch that part in the dub you will NOT be disappointed
