MAMAMOO - 2 Song Study: '4 Flowers' & 'Where Are We Now' (Band LIVE Ver.)

4Flowers is amazing, one of the songs that shows off their all of their vocal skills. The way this song just works its way into your mind and emotions is also a skill they have with the way they write songs and sing them. That big harmony right after the Solar Power belt after the bridge, that is Moonbyul and Wheein with Moonbyul doing the high note, Wheein did the lower tone. Solar released a video on her channel recording her parts, during that you hear her talk to moonbyul in the next room to do the high note for that, it is amusing. You should hear some of Solar's covers, more acapellas, one of the best michael jackson covers, and a video she did where it has an incredible franki valli cover and then a song from the Musical Mata Hari which she starred in. Yeah she is not just a kpop singer, Solar does musicals and she said she had to learn new techniques to sing musicals. Where are we now was done at the 7th year when contracts were up, Wheein and Hwasa at the time unknown about resigning, Hwasa did resign for that year, Wheein did not and Hwasa eventually left the company also. Wheein started a trend, after she did what is now called "a wheein" other kpop idols are doing the same thing, leaving the companies for solo work but staying for group activities. WAW is also a song about them at that point. It was during their 2021 live stream concert where they promised they would always be together on stage, and 4Flowers added to that promise, there will be more songs in the future. You can get their music every day, they have like 350 songs and 500 videos. You could listen to a different song every day and they with covers, OSTs, and collabs they do at least 25 songs every year.

Everytime I see Tim getting enthusiastic about MAMAMOO, especially Solar, I kinda wish he would go back to his 49 minutes of Golden reaction. He reacted to Solar back then, not knowing who she is! 😉 After the Ailee Killing Voice he should definitely go back to that video and react to his reaction! He also reacted to Ailee's version of Golden. 😁 Other well established Korean female singers in the video were Solji from EXID, Kwon Jinah and Hynn (Park Hyewon) who all also have their own Killing Voice. Solji with her group EXID though.

They’re currently in a world tour. They will go to US in august. I wil gladly requested other Mamamoo content !

The vocal queens are back! Moonbyul is also an amazing vocalist! She won a singing competition show for K-pop rappers. As far as I know they're not currently doing a new album, but they are on tour together. Hoping they come to Europe!
