If you're interested, Riot has a YouTube series called Bridging the Rift, which is a behind the scenes look at the making of Arcane. Episode 4 is specifically about the music of Arcane.. Also, fun fact, before working on Arcane, Christian Linke, the creator and executive producer of the series, was a composer and the head of Riot's music department. He actually composed and performed this song himself: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=0AvWV6Mk374

I feel like Vi didn't try harder cause a lot of what Jinx said was true. Vi doesn't feel for THIS Jinx what she used to feel for Powder. She doesn't recognize her nor like her decisions not the way she treats Caitlyn or the way she seems to have replaced Vander with Silco. Vi during her time in prison had the vision of a Powder she wanted to go back who was an innocent kid, just to come out to find this, which is... Let's say different. And that is why Jinx is pushy, cause she is dying to hear Vi say the same things that you want Vi to say, I just don't think Vi feels them the same way anymore, not for THIS Powder. It took me a while to realize that, but Vi's features and face during that Jinx monologue kind of give away to me, that she accepts some of the things Jinx says to be the truth.

Yes! I am from NJ. Btw if Jayce and vi did fight Vi would have won lol. Also when jinx uncovers the cupcake I laugh so hard every time. When jinx apologizes to silco after shooting him it feels so much like an abused child apologizing to a parent after abuse.

Excited to see what you think of S2. The music in S2 is sooo good!

I love the detail that Vi never knew she had a force field with the gauntlets cause she never guards and "blocks with her face". By the way, we had to sit with that ending for 3 years. lol

-I love the detail of Silco panting and shaking when and right after Sevika's blade cut. He knew she was loyal, but still wasn't sure of which of the two she would have killed. -Yordles (Heimerdinger's race) are spirits, so they don't perceive aging as the beings of the material world, therefore, we don't know how long they live. They're described as "Not ageless, yet they don't age in the conventional way", make of that what you will. Their bodies reflect their personality: if a Yordle's personality is elder-ish, their body will physically adapt to match their psyche, the same goes for kids, teenagers and adults. (source: Reddit) However, Heimerdinger himself stated he was 307 in the first act of season 1, and so he's approximately 314–315 from the second act onwards. -The force field that protects Vi from Sevika, right before she rips her arm off, was not consciously created by her, she simply shielded herself with the glove. I think it was the glove itself, or, rather, the Hextech gemstone inside, that automatically created the force field. -In case you missed, Jinx brought Vi and Caitlyn to the destroyed Shimmer factory, where Vander, Mylo and Claggor died, hence her line "Really thought I buried this place". -Yes, Silco was about to shoot Vi, and the little smudge of Powder still in Jinx acted on instinct and shot Silco to save her sister. And no, Silco wasn't lying, he wasn't gonna give up Jinx to Piltover, he genuinely loved and cared for her, something he stated with conviction till his last breath. -Jinx's weapon is called "Fishbones Rocket Launcher" and it's probably her most iconic weapon. You'll see it again in the "Get Jinxed" music video and in season 2! -"What Could Have Been" from Sing, man, that song is so damn powerful, and the lyrics are spot-on to how Jinx is feeling. It usually wouldn't be the type of song I listen to, yet I can't help but do it, again and again, and sing along to it as well. I can only describe the feeling it gives me as clawing at my heart. As I said, I'd like for you to take a small break and make a bundle of season 1's songs, but I also understand you're very curious to see how it continues and start season 2, so I think it's fair we leave the decision to you. Perhaps a good compromise would be the reaction to "Get Jinxed" and then straight to season 2? Let us know ☺️.

This episode was exactly what I needed after writing for 10 hours straight to submit a big assignment at 4 in the morning (unit coordinator was being very unfriendly about giving me any more time despite actually having a medical reason). Out of brain juice, so I'll just say I'm so glad you enjoyed the finale, loved your thoughts and reaction and can't wait for s2!

So excited for this. I think I've probably mentioned it but Arcane S1 is my favorite tv series, period. They tie everything together so beautifully. I'm pretty sure Vi ALWAYS had just one big glove in the game. She was designed that way. So this was the show's way of aligning her with her game character 😂 I really love how they do moral conflict in this show. No one here is just "evil", they all have complicated inner lives. Especially Silco. This is why he's one of my favorite villains of all time. He's a BAD guy, but we can understand why he is like this and he still has lines he won't cross. The show also creates situations where the miscommunication doesn't feel staged or easily resolved. Jinx being in such a volatile headspace after her near-death flooded with shimmer, so of course she would misunderstand Silco. And it fits with the theme built around her character (that she's a jinx) to make such a grave misjudgment and destroy the things she loves as a result. A random thing I just remembered as I was watching the end here -- you were talking about rewatching Fallout and the voice actress for Jinx is actually Ella Purnell (the main character of Fallout). I'm not sure if you knew that!

You just knew things weren't going to turn out well. What a cliffhanger, right?! Imagine waiting 3 years for the answer. The wait was agonizing. In the scene with Savika killing Finn, there is an ashtray that has Jinx's scribbles on it. It gives you just a small idea about Jinx growing up there. Those tiny details are all over the show. It is part of the brilliance on display. For season 2, I consider it to have better animation but weaker writing. In my opinion, season 1 is a masterpiece while season 2 is a masterclass.

I agree about Season 1 v Season 2. Season 1 has such crisp, tight character writing. Every single detail had its place. On the other hand, Season 2 is a visual and musical TRIP. I feel like they were really able to (come) play with the animation style in S2.
