you're actually 100% correct about how she became a singer!! NEVER took voice lessons. When she was little she found a piano in her attic and then it started :) She also wrote Lucky I believe when she was NINE. It was her feeling grateful for the things she's been given in life that other people aren't as fortunate to have. I also wanted to add that little boy in the grass is about her first love/childhood best friend who was tragically killed in a terrorist attack back in 2011
