Just as Kacey already said, his 24, 25 cover is my favorite. The emotion, the vocals, the atmosphere, everything is so beautiful, I always get goosebumps. Seungmin has this amazing vocal tone and technique, but the emotion he's able to pour into the songs is what makes it even better.
I definitely encourage looking at more song by episodes. 24, 25 is probably my favorite to date. I also think you might enjoy Donghyeon from Kickflip’s cover of Adele’s when we were young. He is the youngest member of his group, debuted just over a year ago, and even participated in writing and composing some of his group’s songs. I think he has one of the most unique voices in 5th gen kpop.
He has many other covers in his Song By series that are SO SO GOOD! As well as many OSTs for different kdramas!
He did a couple more of these and also one with I.N which is really nice

Im so happy we got you to listen to this😆 Most Kpop songs are very heavy in the production they do on the voices so to get to hear him just raw like that is such a treat
I think bc Straykids is not as vocal focused as some other groups Seungmin sometimes gets a bit overlooked as a vocalist within the Kpop World. So Im allways happy when he gets to show people how good he actually is 😆
it's very funny that you chose a baseball team as your metaphor for roles on a team because Seungmin's dream growing up was to be a baseball player. His solo song (As We Are) is kind of about his feelings around that. I LOVE this cover. I am not sure I've ever listened to the original (I adore Billie Eilish but I prefer the edgier upbeat songs, surprise). I think this has been mentioned before but Seungmin takes his vocal training VERY seriously and I feel like it's obvious here. He's very consistent with working with a vocal coach and talks about it frequently -- sorry Tim the role is filled already 😂-- and has even helped the other Stray Kids members work on their voices. Hyunjin in the past year had a serious problem with his voice and worked with Seungmin and Seungmin's vocal coach to get himself back on track, as one example. I think it's very sweet how they all have their own strengths but help each other out when they need it.

Yeyyy, finally!! Thank u so much, Tim!! I really love Seungmin’s singing, he’s always so good at expressing emotion. A lot of the time I don’t even know what the lyrics say, but just his singing alone makes me super emotional. And yess, he literally said he started this series to use and showcase his singing and vocal techniques ( he has a vocal couch and he's always working on his singing) that he doesn’t always have the opportunity to show in full group songs. I’ll definitely suggest more “Song By” episodes, hehe.
Nice. I hadn’t heard this before. He’s got a very appealing voice. I think Faouzia’s still my favorite version. (No surprise there. Lol) Hopefully someone will make another suggestion from Seungmin, so I can check out other songs. ❤️
