Re: The comment about Alastor being kinder to women.. at some point he mentions his mothers jambalaya, but never mentions his dad. Only, in Hell's Greatest Dad, that "sometimes a parent is a dud." Contextually I think it makes sense.

Keep in mind that Lucifer is the king of hell. As such he's meant to be the most powerful in hell (more on that in season 2), but he was also an Archangel, so also one of the most powerful in heaven. Compared to normal souls like Adam or Alastor, he is much more powerful. I look forward to this every Saturday and can't wait for you to get into season 2!

Well, no Alastor is not as strong as Lucifer who is the most powerful being in Hell. Then we have Charlie and Lilith, then Goetias and then Overlord like Alastor

I’m excited that you’re finally getting to season 2! Haft and Underberg are songwriting gods and create some of the best lyrics I’ve heard in my life. Can not wait for you to see Niffty’s song! If it doesn’t get a “what is happening?!”, then I don’t know what will. 😄 My bias is a toss up between Niffty and Sir Pentious. She makes me giggle, but he melts my heart. 🩷

You said at the end that Adam killed alastor, but don't forget, he's definitely still alive! His staff is just very broken

Loved the reaction as always! I think the sweetest line in the little More Than Anything reprise has to be "If it's only me you've saved". Melts my heart every time 😭 If you don't want to drown in the song backlog it might be a good idea to do the pilot next Saturday, and then start with season 2.

Some engagement feedback, I for one don't mind if you need to take a couple weeks to catch up on song reactions before resuming the episode reactions with Season 2. You've only got so much time, and between seasons is the right time to pause--there was a long pause for fans between seasons, after all. It's those pauses that feed fan culture, giving people time to absorb, obsess, and speculate.

I'll probably have more to say after I get past the first 2 minutes, but it may be fun to react to the official season 1 recap song that was put out on social media a bit before season 2 was released. It's under 3 minutes, so it's not super long.

Charlie's firework powers are briefly shown in the pilot, and I recently noticed there are fireworks around Lucifer while he was an angel in the beginning of the first episode, so she inherited them from him. 🎆 The second season is so good! I can't wait! But, there will be 3 songs per episode, sooo... more to react. 😉

When you do the song reactions for season 2: Amazon published some behind the scenes footage of the actors singing the songs in the booth and it would be great if you could include those in your song reactions! They didn't do it for every song in S2 but a lot of them :D Your analysis on their mouth and body movements while singing would be SO interesting.

:D so i own the music song book for season 1 for piano, I am curious though in the More than Anything Reprise, what is the sweet instrument that is playing? (i realize anything can be made into a sound by electronics, but it sounds so very specific)

Gonna try to remember everything I was thinking of saying while I was watching. So, first: I don't believe there are any extended versions of any of the songs. The way they appear in the show is the way they are on the soundtrack. Some of these songs definitely are too short, but that comes back to the problem with the format and Spindlehorse not getting as many episodes for the show as they wanted. Niffty is amazing and yes, she does get her own song in season 2 which I think you will absolutely love. I do love the finale song as well. Like you said, it's the perfect Broadway finale song and it just works so well. Plus I just love group numbers like this and You Didn't Know, for instance. There are lots more of them in season 2, and I'm so excited to see your reactions to those in particular. And now I actually can't remember anything more I wanted to say and I have to head out cause I'm going to a birthday dinner for the singer in my band, but I loved your reaction to this episode. It was so much fun how you lost it when Niffty got Adam at the end especially. Can't wait for next Sinful Saturday!! EDIT: Oh! I remembered one more thing. Regarding the possibility of doing a livestream, Discord might work pretty well for that and it shouldn't be too hard to set up. I may be able to help and I'm sure there are others on the server who have experience with this as well.
