The HU - 'Wolf Totem' | The Tonight Show Starring Ankhbayar

can you pls check out the song that they did for the game of star wars jedi fallen order sugaan essena that is so cool

I may even still have some rough video footage of that performance, if you'd be interested in seeing it. Either way, you should be sure to check out that music video- "Yuve Yuve Yu"- as well as their music video for "Black Thunder" (the one ft. Serj Tankian and DL of Bad Wolves)

I first discovered the Hu after the release of their first single song releases, such as Yuve Yuve Yu, years ago. They came to Chicago for their first ever performance in the USA, at Riot Fest (in Douglas Park) in 2019, and I'm so lucky that I got to be there to witness it. They are all trained musicians who decided to musically come together to honor their traditional Mongolian roots and bring it to the rock and roll stage. Modern rock themes, mixed with their traditional instruments, throat singing make IT.

The Hu are amazing. They're all classically trained musicians who decided to bring traditional Mongolian themes and musical instruments to modern rock music. Their hallmark is using throat singing. At some time you should check out their music videos, particularly "Yuve Yuve Yu." (it also has subtitles)

Love the Hu and I'm so glad that they were suggested to you. It's such an interesting and compelling sound. I have never seen this video, so that was an extra treat.

I love seeing you immediately pulled in when the instruments start playing. I had the pleasure of seeing them at Louder than Life a few years ago along with Baby Metal!!

Most songs from The Hu that I’m familiar with at least are very chant/anthem feeling which is probably why this one stayed to just a few different chords. There are others like The Trooper which feature a lot more instrumental. https://youtu.be/2WrvFUZgHro?si=Ww_U4bk9rUGq3GnR or my favorite, which I’ve suggested before too, Sugaan Essena which they did for a Star Wars video game. https://youtu.be/oJZfEh3EciU?si=Ky7qUpXkboR0SF9l This one has a sound at the beginning you may find interesting for beatboxing
