Hiroyuki Sawano / Project【emU】 “Attack on Titan” suite Analysis

So Sawano makes music for video games very rarely, but his most notable example is the entire soundtrack of Xenoblade Chronicles X where there are many tracks like these. Theme X is a fantastic piece I recommend anyone check out

This was also my first time hearing this and holy crap it's incredible This is the piece from kabaneri of the iron Fortress that Eliana sings in and is a personal favorite https://youtu.be/k0mK4HX3e-o?si=D4_8Yv9OwcPI9jII Additionally that same anime, Kabaneri of the Iron Fortress has a song with Aimer! https://youtu.be/gN24W_psMpE?si=1Fzo1FXDC79BD-Le

If your fascination for the sound of AoT persists and you want another take on those songs, I suggest listening to the Grissini Project Orchestra "Requiem for Attack on Titan". This is also a 20 minute Medley from the AoT-Suite. It's another style in the way that this is played with a big orchestra and also a choir. It is a great choice to listen to this! ... Oh.. and also they have the original and english subtitles, giving you even greater context for the songs :-) If you don't know Grissini Project: They specialize in interpreting Anime and Game music with this orchestral (or sometimes just small an classical) feel, but also staying true to the original. They even did a Final Fantasy Cover with Alice Duport-Percier about 10 years ago (showing her talent many years before Expediton 33) called Final Fantasy XV - Somnus cover by Grissini Project

Fun fact the man in white on the piano is the composer Hiroyuki Sawano himself!!

If you like the epic battle music, check out Two Steps From Hell. They are the American version of this band. A favorite of mine. They have contributed pieces to movies, shows, and video games.
