I loved your little "did they make out??" in there. Ozzie and Fizz have such a lovely relationship, I adore the two of them, but I feel like there was definitely something between Fizz and Blitz when they were younger. It's just... a vibe.

Ha! I love this episode so much. Thanks for reacting to it; I really enjoy it. Get ready for the nerd-out. A lot of commenters have brought up stuff I wanted to say, especially the 'Fizz is Blitz' first love' and it's evidenced, even fifteen years or whatever later as Blitz getting all heart eyed when Fizz is dancing w him and the 'hey can we make out?' thing. It's so cute. But another thing I want to point out is Stolas and Octavia often make bird and owl noises for effect and its super funny. Stolas was snoring with owl sounds before Fizz came back. Striker, again, is freaked out by someone talking sexy to him mid-evil whatever he's doing. The white on Blitz' and Fizz' faces and bodies are scars from the fire. It's heavily implied, even though some of the other imps have small white parts on them, that those are specifically burn scars or healed traumatic wounds; Fizz' nose is still red like his original face because he was wearing a clown nose when he got a face full of fireworks. His voice, like his limbs and horns, were incurably altered (fucked) by the fire as well. That's why he sounds the way he does. Which, fun fact, is actually Alex Brightman, Beetlejuice on Broadway doing the Beetlejuice voice but doctored as he and Viv decided it should be made a little higher and more childlike to fit the character.

Vivian has a habit of placing "lore drops" in the background that you have to pause to read that are just funny on their own or tie into the plot later. Some examples are: 1. billboard in the first episode advertising I.M.P. with Blitzø's face, his speech to text and the arrow facing the wrong way 2. the flyers posted in the alley of season 2 ep 2 saying that L.A. water was basically 92% acid and sewage "seriously don't drink that shit!" so when Stolas threw it on the producer, the guy just starts melting 3. In this episode Fizz opens up the tabloid to an article speculating how Asmodeus, Sin of Lust (who denounced love at his club when Moxxie sang there) is a hypocrite and possibly cohabitating with Fizz. BASICALLY anytime you see printed words and not generic cartoon squiggly, it's worth a pause and read

As an aside - season 3 has not released yet, we just had a release of the remake of the season 1 pilot (as the original pilot is no longer canon).

I have watched this series so many times and I have never put subtitles on (weirdly, as I use subtitles for everything else - as a millennial, lol). I feel like I need to watch it all again just for the subtitle humor. Can't wait for your reaction to the next episode, it's one of my absolute favorites!

I was looking for this! I knew you'd love this song and I'm sure you'll love the next songs even more! And this is one of my favourite episode too. We already saw Fizz and Ozz in the season 1 finale, Blitz and Stolas went to Ozzy's, the club, and there they were public umiliated by them. After that, Blitz watched a bunch of pictures on his phone (and Fizz was in 2 of them) and cried (the episode with Queen Bee is the next). We can see young Fizz in the Circus episode too. Ozzy is the Sin fo Lust, that's why he doesn't want to show that he is in love with Fizz. Some little curiosity for you: in this episode we found out wht Blitz has so many scars and why Fizz has robotic limbs (and his white face is a scar too) and of course why Blitz hates himself so much; in the scene just before the fire started, Blitz is holding a flower and a letter with "For Fizz's eyes only" written on it, so Blitz wanted to confes his love to Fizz, but he changed his mind when saw his father giving to Fizz a card with "I wish you were my son" on it. So, Blitz wanted to confess his love to his best friend, lost his courage, bumped into a guy, dropped a Birthday cake, started a fire, maimed his best friend and killed his mother... no way he is the way he is

I'm wondering even more with each appearance of Fizz if you're familiar with the Broadway Beetlejuice (Alex Brightman) because it's him doing pretty much that exact same voice for Fizzarolli. You compared him to Krusty from The Simpsons, but not to that voice; have you really not heard it?

"What a blast!" Oh no xD Hooray, so excited for the rest of the season. This is where the show goes from good to insanely addictive in my opinion! As someone else said, you first saw Ozzie and Fizzarolli in S1 E7 where Blitzo took Stolas to the club while stalking Millie and Moxie's anniversary date. Ozzie and Fizz gave Moxie a bunch of shit for singing a love song and Ozzie had a song himself. Ozzie is the sin of Lust, so in addition to the hierarchy taboo between he and Fizz, he's also publicly anti-love so he can't be open about his relationship without looking like a hypocrite and contradicting his public persona. Small things you may have missed- Fizz is partially robotic because he's actually a quadriplegic from the circus explosion. In the flashback Blitzo was about to give Fizz what looks to be a love confession card, but saw his dad giving Fizz a birthday card that said 'Wish you were my son', so he pushed past the guy holding the cake which started the fire. You also see the photo of his family burn up, which implies that his mother died in the fire. That day is the root of his self hatred and explains a lot of why he pushes people away before he can hurt them. :(

If I may give you some insight to your questions from this episode!! - Ozzie and Fizz first showed up in the episode ‘Ozzie’s’ in season 1, where Blitz took Stolas to the club in Lust to follow Millie and Moxxie on their wedding anniversary date! - The reason why Ozzie and Fizz are so secretive about their relationship is because in hell, there is a strict hierarchy. From most powerful to least, it’s: Lucifer, Lucifer’s wife and daughter, The Seven Deadly Sins (like Ozzie), the Goetia (like Stolas), Sinner Overloards, Sinners, the general hellborn population, and then at the very bottom are imps and hellhounds. Imps are seen as second-class citizens, which is why Blitz has so many preconceived notions about how Stolas sees him, as he’s fallen in love with a prince in a system that is overtly racist towards his kind. This is also why Ozzie and Fizz’s relationship had to be hush-hush, as Ozzie is the king of the Lust ring.
