Dev Log Ep4 Week 18: You Can Run But You Can't Hide
Hey y'all! Ya boy is a little late this week, but don't worry, I haven't slept. I'm just super busy. So let's talk about what I've been up to. This will be a short and sweet one because I'm half awake here. Short and sweet may also just be a ramble fest of epic proportions.
Come on, Bat, you got this. Tell the people what you did.
Okay, so I wrote one of the 3 main LI scenes that are still missing from the update, and I started another. I got most of the renders done for the Max scene, and she is looking great. I contacted the VAs for Max and MC. I am still waiting to hear back from Max's VA, but I have loads of animation to be getting on with anyway.
That brings me on to this week. I will be mostly focusing on animation before the crushing weight of my backlog presses down on me more than my father's disappointment that I didn't become an electrician. I have so much animation to do, so this week I will be taking a leaf out of Walt Disney's book because he never did anything wrong, right? Okay, wow, don't Google that. God damn, Walt. Anyway, I'll be doing some moving stuff this week.
Render, render, line up! Get your renders!
178. I can't tell you the bitter disappointment with this number. I feel a deep sense of shame, and I will force myself to eat nothing but raw kale all week as an act of penance for my awful performance. This is not actually a joke. I was aiming for 200, which seems slightly impossible with my current working schedule, but god damn, I fucking tried. Still, I have fallen short, and I feel the way Mark Zuckerberg's creators must at their failed attempt to create a humanoid toaster oven.
Well, that's all I got for you this week. I will leave you with this fact from my good friend Classy Lemon. Killer whales are dolphins. I mean, what the fuck... the guy who named them has committed a crime against humanity. Also, fuck dolphins.
Peace
Bat

“Also, fuck dolphins.” Nah, the horny buggers would probably like it. I’m pretty sure they only help humans in the hope we’ll have sex with them*. If you really want to mess with them, let them rescue you from a shark then tell them you don’t put out on a first date. That’ll show’ em. *Gives a dark edge to rewatching old episodes of Flipper
False killer whales look like orca's but they are also dolphins while exactly looking like and are around the same size of dolphins, so why are they called false killer whales
Fun fact - Keiko (orca from Free Willy) after years and years of captivity they released him so he could die from acute pneumonia just 1 year later. Anyways - Max looks pretty Bat!
Love the spooky Zoe render love the little details like the wolfman/werewolf ❤️🔥 great work as always Bat one day we will slay the time goblins manifesting as real world chores and responsibilities. Also I knew a woman with a killerwhale as her lover, despite what you hear about dolphins he was quite the dashing chap and a perfect gentleman. Just don't look up what he went to prison for...
GOOD TUESDAY NIGHT 🌛🌃, BAT AND EVERYONE!!! Let's see 👀... I see Zoey. I see Bat. Where's the French chicken 🐥? I'm guessing that's Volos up there by the moon. Ok 😅. Looks like Bat finally escaped from his "No-No Zone 🤣." To be fair... it's still Tuesday for me 😁. Whatever it is. Hit me 😋. "Yes. Yes. Tell us, Batsy. Tell us what a good Dev you are 🐶." Awesome work done! "SHE LOOKS AMAZING!" Oh, I didn't even know Max has a VA 😅? But then again... that's not my preference of playing 😂. Nice! Lots of animations 😛. Don't worry, I'm sure we all disappointed our Fathers before. Of course, that feeling is magnified since I'm Asian 🤣. But I never gave an F. I just keep going 😁. Oh, Bat 🫢... *Google on my phone.* Why would that be a disappointment? That's not so bad 😅. Really? Raw kale 😂? Do you eat nothing but unhealthy food 🤣? At least you tried 😅? A for effort 👍🏻! And you're too hard on yourself 🙂↕️. Everyone knows Killer Whales are dolphins 😂🤣😂🤣. Hey? What the F do you have against dolphins, huh 🤬? As always, thanks for the Dev Log, Batman! Keep on keeping on 😉!!! ALWAYS EXCITED AND EAGERLY WAITING FOR YOUR GAMES AND READING YOUR POSTS 🙌🏻🔥!!! Love and appreciate everything! Have an amazing and beautiful week! I'll catch you all—ON THE NEXT ONE ✌🏻😁!!!
Lol great render of Zoe with the Halloween theme. Do not let the backlog overwhelm you, just take it in strides. ***Then I proceed to go crazy at my job often, but whatever. Good, looking forward to hear Max's voice. And my own thought: Killer whales are smarter than dolphins because they think alike but are better hunters. 🤔
💯🔥👍
