Dev Log Ep4 Week 17: Read Me a Story
Okay, let's do this. Ya boy's tired this week, so bear with me. This is either gonna be real short or a complete rambling mess, but we will roll with the punches. I asked a few dev friends to help out with this week's dev log because sometimes you gotta ask for help.
So here goes nothing.
In golf, most pros will play a club at 80-90%. If your 5 iron is 200 yards, might as well play an iron 4 at 80% to cover that distance. Controlled power equals increased precision. Rushing for 200 renders and letting it kill you won't help in the long run. Better to go for 154 and start the next week rested. And remember, a lion can't drink and drive, but a Tiger Wood.

Due to Bat feeling a little sleepy-eepy right now, I, Volos, took over the honour of writing a few sentences of this dev log.
Render count: Great, astonishing even.
Animations: So many. Next update is basically a movie already.
Also rodents: I hereby report Bat managed to further expand his domain after most honorably defeating a gang of raccoons trying to lay claim over his trash bin.

I am reading between the lines here, but I think Tako is talking about how my brain is like soup right now after having issues with my workflow in Blender after making tweaks for the lip sync. He's basically saying it's confusing sometimes and you have to push on to make progress. Poetry, bro. Thank you.

I feel you, bro. At this point I am getting a little lost as well. Let's give some context.
The update is currently at 1,815 renders, 0 music, 6 cutscenes, definitely some words, I lost count at 68, and there's some gibberish that makes the whole thing work apparently.
My prediction for the update is about 750-1,000 renders left to go. I think that might be about right, but there are also at least 6 pretty sizable cutscenes left to do. I'm chipping away at it and we will all get there together.
Lastly, don't use mint Original Source shower cream on your coin purse. That shit stings.

You're a trooper Bat, see the effort and hard work you put in and it's very admirable! The devs also fucked me with random world events and the transmission in car I'm still paying off went. Pretty much whole month of Sept and this first week of Oct, only had 1hr-2hrs dev time max. Wouldn't recommend 1 vehicle for 3 full time schedules, it's terrible for dev time 🫠 but as you said it is what it is and roll with punches what can ya do. Great cameos in the log and can't wait for next episode!
So the next update could be nearly 3000 renders? Pretty impressive, and I have to say loved the render up there with Lemon and Mr. Maya, though I had impure thoughts about it for a second. 😬😬
