Dev-log #31 - Save System & more - 06/06/2026
Hello everyone, and welcome back to the Valmora's devlog!
Today I'll show you some of the changes we've made.
The first thing we're preparing is a change and improvement to some of the game's characters.
For some NPCs, we initially had to opt for placeholder models, knowing we'd have to change them later. One of these is definitely the village blacksmith, who was our least favorite.
So we changed the appearance, made her female instead of male, and gave her a deeper story. We have plans for this NPC, but we won't spoil anything for now.
We've then added an area that was previously a work in progress, the ruins above the village. This area is the focus of a quest, but it also has an additional quest to find and complete. This is also the place to start the DLC of the follower!
The area remains a work in progress as we still have a few things to do, but in the meantime we have made it playable so we can give you some content to start exploring the area with.
Last but not least, we're working on the bandits and their camps. This will be important for the final part of the demo. We're adding a couple of new enemy types with their own movesets, and eventually we'll add a boss to fight, but I won't reveal anything about it yet.
Last but not least, we added a working Save & Load system, so you finally can test this too!
We worked on other things too, but these are the most important visually.
In the next few days we will release an update of the Playtest build, the one that Tier 3 (Shadow Lord) and Tier 4 (Noble) have access to, so you can actually get your hands on everything we've been working on.
As always, thanks for reading this far!
Have a nice weekend!
Alex
