Poll: How Many Night Elves Are There?
After the Battle of Mt. Hyjal, how many N-Elves remain? (This is pertinent to last poll's victor for Friday's OCT story) For reference, I think lorewise, the Kingdom of Stormwind/Orgrimmar is 3 or 5x larger than whatever the N-Elf pop is, so use that as a benchmark to scale.

Stormwind is one city surrounded by farms. I'm gonna call it 150k the population of Venice in the 1700's was 140k and it was MAJOR MAJOR trade city. The New York of the old world. Go off historical values for similar tech/social levels. If Venice was 140k Stormwind has 150k. Ogrimmar is built of 3 distinct races banding together. Nelfs have low birth rates, the males spend centuries in the dream. There is no population boom for nelfs. 50k after Hyjal, that includes teldrassil, darkshore, and ashenvale. Seems reasonable. These aren't modern cities with healthcare and mass food production. Also SW is one of several Human Nations. It's a city state, not a country. People don't understand population values and are marking millions in the polls. 🫤
If it helps, just imagine the continents as the size of Africa/South America. Then upscale the Kingdom of Stormwind to the size of France, and the total pop isn't so unimaginable. For healthcare, the answer is magic, and faster/hartier food is magic too. There ya go~
