Although no new attributes or feats became available due to the level up, the rewards for the Prestige Quest were another matter. This long awaited level up was extremely significant. For one, he was no longer locked behind an exp wall, meaning he could now advance further in level. And two, HE COMPLETED HIS PRESTIGE CLASS.
Although he had been in Pause, a small celestial phenomenon was already taking shape. Ashla and Bogan were twinkling down upon him as if he were their favored child. Light & Dark intertwined, birthing yet another miracle.
Untold amounts of information entered his brain regarding his new powers, and he slowly digested them. Before he ran off to go experiment, Corvus carefully regarded his status page, and began to input many of his new attributes.

[Shadow Wrath State]: Cloak yourself in shadows. All stats are doubled. The power & cost of all Force Powers is doubled. Consumes 10% of your FP bar every minute. 30 minute cooldown after use.
Starting with the Attributes, Corvus noticed that he couldn't bump his dexterity past 20, then chose to max out Str & Int to make himself more physically powerful, and his Force powers to be more potent. Although he was more of an assassin build, he used ‘spells’ quite a bit being a Space Wizard. Furthermore, enhancing strength, whilst not that important, was sure to help out a lot. Vader-even out of his suit-was a Djem-So expert who was a master at overpowering his enemies. This enhanced strength would make dueling future strength oriented fighters much easier.
Then, of course, he had added some points to Wis & Ch. Hopefully by the time he reached 50, he'd find a way to max himself out, and have 20 Attribute points in every stat across the board.
Next were his Force Powers. Now that he was level 40, officially Tier VII, a High Council Member in terms of Old Republic skill & power, he could now upgrade his FP. Curiously, [Heal]-which was his most used ability & understood the most-naturally raised itself to Tier VII. Corvus felt that with a little training, he could raise [Speed], [Valor], [Energy Resistance], [Mind Trick], [Repulse], and [Force Lightning] up to this level too. Therefore, for now, he wouldn't waste any points in them.
However, with his newfound understanding of the Force, he was incredibly tempted to initiate some Darkside abilities, such as [Force Drain/Crush/Scream/Fear].
It would be smart to hold onto those few, precious points for a difficult to master, higher tier power…but instead, the time had finally come. Now that his personal strength & abilities could assure his own safety. It was time to put points into that one coveted ability that every Star Wars nerd loved: [Battle Meditation].
That's right, it was a KOTOR 2 ability that Corvus could have learnt at any point up until now. But with the intense amount of duels he had engaged in, having a stronger [Force Lightning], or more defensive [Energy/Blunt/Force] type shield was higher on his priority list. But now, as the war took on a greater theater, it only made sense that he learn this ability.
Due to a limited amount of points, Corvus only raised [Battle Meditation] to Tier IV Master (low). Hoping he could, in time, train it to be much more potent. In the future, he would be like Palpatine, juicing up armies across the galaxy from systems away. For now, he would be happy to do so on a planetary scale.
Lastly came the feats.
As he was on his third, and unofficial prestige class-at least as far as KOTOR 2 was concerned, his System was unique like that-he now had access to feats previously available to other classes. Nominally, he was a Consular -> Shadow -> Shadow Master. And due to this, he had been cutoff from those abilities exclusive to Guardians, and Sentinels. As a Shadow, he was able to get Watchmen feats, but they weren't as good as things like Toughness, etc. What really mattered, was that he now had access to [Force Immunity].
Which was something sorely needed! Although Corvus could always toss up a [Force Barrier], that thing was always prone to bursting, constantly eating at his FP. Besides, he was of the mind that there was no kill quite like overkill, and if he could stack his defenses to the moon, than he'd be happy as a Wookiee scratching his back on tree bark.
Anyway, what [Force Immunity] was, was a passive. Tier I protected against fear, horror, insanity, plasma grenades, and basically all of the mental/psychic damage one might be exposed to. And plasma grenades for some reason.
Tier II protected against ‘physical’ Force attacks, like [Force Push/Pull/Wave/Stun]. Curiously, this also protected against concussive attacks, and flash grenades.
Tier III, finally, protected against energy type abilities, such as [Force Drain/Lightning] or theoretically against [Wall of Light]. This also protected him from stasis, paralysis, and cryo type attacks.
Over all, this was a rather comprehensive defense. Together with [Toughness] which protected his physical body, and [Lightside Enlightenment] which granted him a flat 32.2% negation of all damage types, he had some truly cockroach-like defense.
If he really wanted to bulk up, he would learn how to craft some living heavy armor, and take the Heavy Armor feat. But that was likely just a distant dream. A man's romance truly was to go everywhere in heavy armor, and tank Death Star lasers for breakfast.
Distant hopes, and dreams aside, there was something more to his list of unlockables that he was salivating over. That being [Well Balanced]. Truthfully, when Corvus first saw that in the quest menu, and focused upon it, there was no System text. He fully believed that it was referring to the frankly absurd stats/feats that the SM Prestige class offered.
Little did he know that [Well Balanced] was potentially the most busted, purely nonsensical, OP thing he had ever laid his hands on.
[Well Balanced]:
One time use, assume Revan's full power for 1 hour.
0/1.
That.
That was so incredibly amazing, that he forgot to breath, regardless of the fact that he couldn't even breathe since he was in Pause. Brain going 404, if one were to get a glimpse at Corvus's inner mindscape at this moment, it'd probably look something like: yes yes yes yes yes yes.
There weren't many things in this world acting like a chimp over, and Corvus considered himself a fairly respectable person…but that was full power Revan we're talking about here. For one whole hour.
He may or may not have remained in Pause for several hours on end salivating over the prospect. That was the kind of power that could lock Vitiate into a mental combat that lasted for centuries! The kind of power that could call down meteors, glass planets with electrical storms, and mentally dominate ancient Darkside artifacts like the Star Forge.
For a brief second, Corvus was sorely tempted to fly to Coruscant this very second, and bring the belt to Vader’s ass!...however, this long amount of thinking let him cool down.
This time spent on Tython, spying around with his all-seeing orb, he had seen a lot of shit. Not to mention, he could already send his spirit/soul into the ether, and had glimpsed each of those existences. There were foes out there just as strong-or even stronger-than Palpatine had been during his duel with Yoda on Coruscant. And so, whilst he would very much like to dominate Vader, his responsibilities as Order Master made him reconsider.
Unfortunately, he determined it was best to hold onto [Well Balanced] for either a truly important assault, or guaranteed get out of jail free card. To withhold it in case of a dire emergency. Because thanks to his experiences, he knew Exar Kun was on the rise. He knew Plagueis was doing something funky on Korriban, and he had sensed something crazy recently out in the Galactic South. New threats were emerging all the time, and he couldn't afford to act like the brash young man speeding around town showing off his new car.
No longer was he a simple warlord leading around a ragtag group of Padawans, and a single Legion of clones. Now, he was standing at the helm of a movement. Hundreds of billions of people were relying upon him to restore the Republic. Hundreds of billions more wanted to see him fail. With the legacy of the Je'daii behind him, and the hope of the future before him, he could not afford to be that reckless young man.
Taking Windu as an example-both what he had been & become-Corvus understood the awesome responsibility of leadership, and would not attack Vader unless he was absolutely certain of victory. Thanks to the scrying orb, his Shadow Reading, and a feeling in the Force, he felt that Vader likewise did not want to meet him.
For the time being, a sort of Cold War had developed between the two of them. The Force seemed to want something between its Chosen One, and its Heart, but he just couldn't grasp what that was.
However, that did not mean he wouldn't take to the field. He suspected that when the time was right, he would meet Vader again. Perhaps sooner than either of them would have wanted…

One time use powerups are always lame
Brilliant work it’s great to see Corvus planning ahead on what points he would invest into by the way he hasn’t used the 1 Mastery token from the system yet when will he use that to learn a new lightsaber combat form?
Next chapter or two.
Oh, that Well Balanced perk is fucking bullshit…!! I FUCKING LOVE IT!!!!!!
Ngl that (Well Balanced) perk was pretty lame after all that build up. Nonetheless, everything else was pretty fire, especially with the potential combinations of powers and the speed and attribute boosts. Now I have to ask how physically strong is he though after this. Like is he a peak physical strength person like Kar Vastor, Vader, and Krayt? Or is he just very physically fit like Luke, Anakin, Exar Kun, and Kyle Katarn?
Funny enough, Well Balanced was just supposed to be the stats/feats in my initial planning. The combination of abilities was the real meat & potatoes. You'll see in the coming chapters how fun/OP it is.
