Crimson Rose
I’m honestly so happy with how this set turned out 🥹
I hadn’t planned to make anything quite like this, but inspiration clearly had other ideas. The rose theme actually came from their scent lingering in my head before sleep 😄 I love using a rose essential oil in my aroma lamp in the evenings.
In a way, this design became a blend of two other ideas I’d been carrying around for a while: a Belle Époque-inspired outfit and a rose knight armor set. I’ve been thinking about the latter for a very long time, long before I even started creating things from scratch; elegant armor with living roses blooming through the cracks... 🥹
I also modeled most of the assets in ZBrush this time! Its navigation is infamous for a reason, but despite that, I’m really starting to enjoy working in it.
This set ended up being quite different from what I originally imagined, but I think that’s exactly why I love it so much. Sometimes the best designs are the ones that slowly take on a life of their own 😉🌹
