H:TP Chapter 6 Anticipation and oh god my colon

I am so fuckingv stressed guys. The entire production chat is stressed. We are stressed like a metal beam holding up an entire concrete building like a comedy meatbone. BUT!
Chapter 6 should (hopefully) be releasing on Friday the 31st. There are some final pieces to complete, but oh god my colon hurts, we're so close to completing it and getting it out for you all.
AND YET.
Even though we are perilously close to completing our fell task, we are supremely worried about a number of factors. Namely that, as has been the case with Youtube and their foul metrics, analytics, and death cult hexes placed on us, we do worry immensely about reach. As you know, growing and broadening our fan base, roping new people in to enjoy our work, giving the video views, and possibly enticing people into joining the Patreon, is what we have to do to survive.
We are, at the end of the day, happy to produce media for you all to consume, and that goal has not changed. The unfortunate and annoying reality, though, is that we have been enduring a number of financial issues (as per usual, this business is hard) that are making things difficult, to put it lightly. Odds are we'll have to do yet another State of the Ogre video in the latter months of the year, just so we can try to keep our people employed. In what feels like an irksome twist of fate, making a yearly "Call to Action" video is what provides the company with just enough of a nudge to ensure we don't collapse, and that thought really sucks!
What does this mean I am asking, you may ask me in return? Only the barest possible request: Please share this upcoming episode around, as you lovely people tend to do. We will not be slacking this week either, between working on the next audiolog, the final touches on EP6, and other considerations, we will also be doing our best to hype and advertise. It's been 500+ days, and I can hear Garrot and Alfa withering audibly as I say that, since our last mainline episode release, and we have something to show for it, but man. That stings. Please, do your best to share it around when the time comes, help us hype and excite, it is all we can ask, and we'll be right there with you.
I have audio composition to do still for the next audiolog, and another Patreon post, and as much advertising as I can reasonably do without annoying people. BUT UNTIL THEN, WE'LL SEE YOU ALL AGAIN FRIDAY!!!!

unc 30 minutes...we waited over a year for 30 minutes...
No, you got a big content drop every 2 - 3 months, several of which were over an hour and more than one was over 2 hours, while they juggled a few different projects. The big numbered releases are less than half of the series at this point. The in-between stuff isn't skippable filler. Some of the best content is in the audiologs. And, notably, they've been getting faster and faster in making things. It used to be 1 or 2 releases of a 30 minute thing every year, tops. It being 30 minutes long, is one of the ways they're making it faster. They announced it would be 30 minutes long, months ago. And the next ones should also be in the 20 - 30 minute range so you don't need to wait over a year for fully animated episodes again
Just one more year... If I manage one more year of Job Training and keeping my position and I can finally financially justify upgrading my patronage to the 60$ tier. Then I will finally feel like I am supporting you guys enough. Stay strong and prosper!

I'm super excited for episode 6! In regards to your financial concerns, have you discussed running advertisements? I know in the TTS days you turned down a shadow legends sponsorship you mentioned would've been pretty lucrative. I think you might want to consider that. Yeah, advertisements can be tacky, but you guys put out quality and should be getting paid for it.
They did previously and they had the one sponsored segment, but then they effort-creeped the audiologs. They might be able to fit sponsors into the gamer podcast. But a regular "state of the Ogre" seems to work better and take overall less effort, since it's stopped them from needing to take a sponsor in years

Why do you keep apologizing for putting up "call to action" videos? That's like apologizing to your regular employer every time you get a paycheck. You're doing work. You're doing *exceptionally* good work. The majority of people who watch it, don't pay. Poking them to pay it's not only morally correct. It's justified. It's reasonable. It's such a banal, obviously good and okay thing to do, I struggle to find more synonyms to describe it. I get the feeling that you'd rather do this for free because you feel like the business side of things tarnishes your art. I get that. Also, you need food. Remind people to pay you so that you can get food and beds and a rooms for those beds and socks for the feet of yourself and your kids. TLDR: stop being so goddamn morally pure and remind people that you're also people who deserve to get paid for their work. You earned it, but the universe will not drop it on your heads. You gotta smack the universe with a stick to shake some money-fruit from the branches like it's animal crossing.

Hey, I'll share where I can. I do wanna say, the episodes show the effort y'all put in. You guys do amazing work and it really does sound like you put your heart and soul into this series. I know a long creative project takes a lot. You guys are really going the distance with this.
