May Status Report 2026
A bit of an early status update this month, mostly because development is pretty on track, and the state of things is unlikely to change by the end of the month.
First things first, the update will take another week or two to complete, as the boss fight is still in progress, and those always represent a big chunk of content, plus extra time for playtesting and balance tweaks. I'll also need to do a bunch of testing across the board to make sure none of the new content is breaking or wonky, as I do not plan on rushing out the update in a messy state.
As for why said update is not ready yet, I may have gotten a bit carried away with the interactions with the new NPC, as well as with the locale's mechanics. Overall, though, it's all been progressing very steadily, and I think I just misjudged how much there was actually left to do. I could have released the upcoming update in two parts for a steadier release pace, but I think the content would have felt janky and not very satisfying as a result.
The stuff Val's been working on is currently on hold while he focuses on handling the editing for all the words I'm throwing at him, in addition to writing or fleshing out the occasional scene, so that will be slated for an update after this one.
I'm still waiting for some art commissions to be completed, so right now, there's still nothing I can show on that front. One character art is close to done, but won't actually be shown until it's eventually in game, so as to keep the surprise.
That aside, in strange news of bugfixing that occurred this month, it turns out that Nightmare Mode was rewarding much less eros than it was supposed to. This has now been fixed, so people will be making MUCH more in Nightmare Mode. However, I did lower that number a bit to compensate, and overall lowered the amount of exp and eros that Generic enemies give in Nightmare Mode. But eros income from Nightmare Mode at higher levels will still be much more profitable than before either way.
Additionally, at a modder's request, requiresPerk, requiresOnePerk, unusableIfPerk, requiresPerkSelf, requiresOnePerkSelf, and unusableIfPerkSelf all now work as part of Skill additions.
Otherwise, everything done this month has been part of the Aphrodesia District Stamp acquisition, and I still don't wanna spoil anything, so that'll be for everyone to discover, hopefully in not too long now.
I hope everyone had a good month and is looking forward to the update being out, and I'll now head on my way to keep working on it!

Well it's been two weeks and about to be three, how's the progress?
This weekend coming up for sure. :D
As long as we're not waiting ages for a tiny update like usual then I'm all for waiting as long as possible
Really looking forward to it!
Just discovered this game a week ago. Downloaded it out of curiosity with low expectations, but damn was I blown away. As a Monster Girl Encyclopedia fan it is everything I could ask for. Looking forward to your future updates!
Great work!!!!
Sounds good to me boss, can't wait to see what good stuff you have added, take your time and don't burn yourself out👍. Here's holding out hope for waifu Jora😉
I was wondering how the update was proceeding - it seems you read my mind! Thank you for the update update, and I'm very excited to see what's to come! New NPC AND a boss fight? We're being spoiled this time!
Always excited for more mechanics and interacting with NPCs! It's the main reason I love your game so much!! All the characters are so charming :> Take your time with it
Of all the possible reasons for a delay, "I got carried away and added more content and interactions" is among the best.
Take however long you need
