0.10 is Delayed...
Hello everyone,
The next update will still take some time. It has now been about four months since the last update, and I fully understand that this may feel like a long wait. If that waiting period no longer works for you, I want you to know that it is completely okay to unsubscribe. I genuinely respect that choice, and there are absolutely no hard feelings.
Due to recent changes in Patreon’s rules, I’ve had to make a difficult but necessary decision for the future of Blossoming Journey. Going forward, all visuals in the game will be AI-generated. This wasn’t a choice I made lightly, but it allows me to keep visual content in the game at all, rather than having to remove visuals entirely. For me, maintaining production value, even if imperfect, is better than offering zero visual stimulus.
I know this change may not sit well with everyone, and I completely understand that. This transition carries risks, and it may not be ideal, but it’s the path that allows the project to continue and survive under the current constraints.
On the development side, there is still one more full in-game day’s worth of content to write, alongside implementation and polishing. Progress is steady, but I don’t want to give a rushed or unrealistic release estimate.
I wanted to make this post so everyone can make an informed decision, knowing exactly what’s going on behind the scenes. If you choose to continue supporting me during this transition, I’m deeply grateful. If you decide this isn’t for you anymore, I respect that completely.
I’ll be sharing teaser visuals from 0.10 starting now and continuing in the future. The visuals won’t be perfect, but I believe they’re good enough to bridge this transition and keep Blossoming Journey moving forward.

I prefer the actual images, but I get it. It's beyond your control and doesn't detract from the story or break any immersion really. I'm really looking forward to the new direction it will be going as far as images. I still love the story/writing, always fantastic. Just take your time, don't stress yourself too much and just enjoy what you are doing because we all do.
I understand it is a decision beyond your controll, but this will put a massive hit to my enjoyment of the game. I loved your choices of images for the game and I don't think AI generated images will be able to replace them.
I assume making the patreon version AI art / no images and then having actual porn in the free release would be too much work?
I presume this means past images will also be replaced?

Sad to hear it but I think everyone understands. Though I do think you should consider commissioning an artist at some point once you feel the story has reached a point, that way you can craft the characters how you want in a style that is unique to your game. The Ai games tend to all bleed into the same style for a reason and while most people care about the writing, I can’t deny that I’d prefer a paperdoll system or commissioned art over Ai.
I don't REALLY have an issue with AI graphics/Art. But I despise Not having a choice, and 'something' being 'Rammed down my throat'.
I hear you, I wish I had the choice of continuing this as they are and not undergo this huge change that brings this massive workload to me :(
Like Motophoto said, Your writing is the why Blossoming journey is a success. Sure visual in a visual novel is very important, but has your not doing a 3d daz or blender AVN, going from real porn to AI image is the best option. Ai doesn't mean all bad. Some very good game have AI image and don't have the level of writing that you bring... So don't worry go ahead and I'm sure that the result will be good.
Would Moving to subscribe star be an alternative that’s easier without going to AI?
1) Credit card companies are pushing this censor to every platform slowly 2) SubscribeStar didn't activate my account for 2 years and didn't return any of my e-mail unfortunately So there is no viable alternative at the moment, I have looked around for the last month so this is the "most logical" path forward. Trust me I'm not happy with any of this :(
Count you please explain why exactly you had to switch to Ai generated images?
