Vexxx v1.2.0 โ Release Notes ๐
Hey everyone! v1.2.0 is here and it's a big one. This release focuses on safety, polish, and quality-of-life โ a Recycle Bin so you never lose data by accident, sweeping UI upgrades across detail panels and settings, and a raft of targeted bug fixes. Here's everything that's new. To use it, sign up for our Macchiato-tier membership!
๐๏ธ Recycle Bin
The headline feature of v1.2.0. Every entity you delete โ scenes, performers, studios, tags, galleries, images, groups โ is now soft-deleted into a Recycle Bin rather than destroyed immediately.
What this means for you:
Accidentally deleted a performer with 200 scenes? Restore it in seconds โ all scene associations, aliases, tags, and stash IDs come back with it.
Changed your mind after a bulk delete? The Recycle Bin holds everything until you're ready to purge it permanently.
Each restored item brings its full relationship graph back: parent/child tag hierarchies, group memberships, scene index positions โ the works.
New History tab inside Recycle Bin settings tracks every delete, restore, and purge event permanently in a colour-coded log (red = deleted, green = restored, grey = purged) so you always have an audit trail of what happened and when.
๐ท๏ธ Safer Tag Deletion โ Markers No Longer Blocked
Previously, deleting a tag that was set as the primary tag on a scene marker would either block the deletion or silently remove the marker entirely. That's fixed.
Deleting a tag now clears the primary tag field on any affected markers via a database cascade (ON DELETE SET NULL) rather than refusing or destroying them. Your markers stay intact; they just no longer have a primary tag assigned, which you can fill in later.
The "also delete markers" checkbox in the delete dialog has been removed โ the database handles it cleanly now without any extra prompts.
๐จ UI Polish โ Detail Panels
A comprehensive pass across all entity detail panels, migrating from legacy HTML/Bootstrap markup to clean MUI components. This brings consistent spacing, typography, and layout everywhere you look at metadata.
Scene:
File Info tab: all metadata (hash, phash, codec, bitrate, path, stream URL, stash IDs) in a structured table with a proper "Primary file" chip
History tab: timestamps in monospace, delete icons right-aligned, section headers with live counters, menus no longer dim the page behind them
Gallery:
Detail panel: studio logo section below tags + per-performer filter chips on the scene picker โ click a chip to narrow the scene dropdown to scenes featuring that performer
File Info panel: clean single table for checksum, mod time, and path; upgraded URLs section heading
Image:
Detail panel and File Info panel both rewritten with MUI Tables, Dividers, and Typography for consistent heading hierarchy; phash value now links directly to the pHash image search
Tag:
TagPopover tooltip upgraded with icon+count buttons (matching TagCard) and always-visible image; header image constrained so portrait or oversized images no longer stretch the page layout
โ๏ธ Settings Polish
Scrapers panel: scraper list is now a proper MUI table with outlined Chip badges for scrape types, replacing the old plain HTML markup.
Stash-box panel: endpoint rows in a table with Name / Endpoint / Actions columns; the edit modal is now wider to comfortably fit long API keys and URLs.
Logs panel:
Scrollable Paper container (60 vh) with colour-coded severity Chip badges and monospace font
Fixed a long-standing bug where Progress log entries were always hidden โ they were missing from the level order array used for filtering
Thank you as always for your continued support!
