What is Pocket?

Pocket is a self-hosted, local-first video media manager — a private, offline-capable alternative to cloud media services that actually respects your library.

You point it at your video folders. It scans them, fingerprints every file, automatically identifies content against StashDB and ThePornDB, pulls down performers, studios, tags, and cover art, and presents everything in a clean, dark, fast web UI running entirely on your own hardware.

What can it do right now?

Library Management

  • Recursively scan one or more library folders, with a toggle for auto-scan on startup

  • Detect newly added or missing files automatically

  • Assign folders as Adult or Mainstream content — switch modes from the dashboard

Automatic Identification

  • Match scenes against StashDB and ThePornDB with a single click

  • Pull down performers (with aliases and images), studios, and tags automatically

  • Manual lookup with a confidence indicator when auto-match needs a nudge

  • Re-identify any individual video from its detail page at any time

Mainstream Content (Movies & TV Shows)

  • Dedicated Movies and TV Shows libraries with TMDB identification — requires an API key from TMDB

  • Per-episode progress tracking and auto-advance at episode end

  • Resume playback across sessions — picks up exactly where you left off

  • "Continue Watching" rows on the dashboard and Mainstream home screen
