Dogwood Records (set preview) 🎧

Have you ever wanted to own a record store? Now you can!

I always had this vision of what I wanted my store to look like- and I have finally created this set that kind of brought that vision to life.

Dusty wooden furniture, neon lights, record players and records scattered everywhere were just some of the things I had in mind but I hope this set will bring you so much more.

The record covers WERE NOT ai generated! One half is by real life artists + a cartoonizing effect and Topaz Clean (a PS plugin) and the other half was purchased by me on Unsplash+: here is a detailed post on my Tumblr with how I created them and with all the links to the albums and art.

The set consists of (from left to right):

• The Snazzy Sitter living chair (15 swatches, 934 polys)

• The Snazzy Sitter loveseat (15 swatches, 1,194 polys)

• Case Closed coffee table (13 swatches, 1,750 polys)

• Enduring Record Shelving version 1 (15 swatches, 542 polys)

• Enduring Record Shelving version 2 (requires Business & Hobbies, functions as a retail shelf, 15 swatches, 542 polys)

• Stairway To Heaven records shelf version 1 (requires Business & Hobbies, 15 swatches, 174 polys)

• Retail Records (can be sold & bought from the Stairway To Heaven retail shelf, 22 swatches, 30 polys)

• Nifty Booklet magazine/comic book rack (functions as a bookshelf, 15 swatches, 882 polys)

• Framed Riffs (decorative, 10 swatches, 620 polys)

• Obligatory Floor Records (decorative, 7 swatches, 178 polys)

• Obligatory Crate With Records (decorative, 15 swatches, 9,628 polys)

• Acoustic Attitude guitar stand (decorative, 14 swatches, 4,334 polys)

• Carefully Stacked Records version 1, 2 & 3 (decorative, 10 swatches, 90 polys)

• Turn It Up amplifier (functions as a stereo, 14 swatches, 1,766 polys)

• Worn melodies retro stereo (functional, with slots, 15 swatches, 696 polys)

• Slanted Records Station (functional, 15 swatches, 3,957 polys)

• Moonstone Tunes record player (functional, 10 swatches, 1,408 polys)

• Your Practical Display (functions as a record player stand, 15 swatches, 3,686 polys)

• Vinyl neon sign (1 swatch, the colors can be adjusted in game, 4,377 polys)

Fun fact: I wanted to add functionality to this set so the records can be sold & bought (when placed on the Stairway To Heaven retail shelf) at your small business (requires the Business & Hobbies EP).

Once your sim buys them, they can be found in the Household Inventory. What's a better b'day present for a sim than their favorite record? There's also a magazine/comic book rack so that your customers can entertain themselves while listening to their favorite artist. May your new business flourish and bring your simmies so much joy! 🎵

This month's Patreon's gift is an add-on set that consists of some items that can be added to your flourishing record store (the headphone stand can also be sold when placed on the Enduring Record Shelving version 2 that requires the Business & Hobbies EP):
