I took the interaction from Base Game and Snowy Escape to unlock the interactions for toddlers to elder sims!!! There’s a buff, milestone and text message with the mod too 💗💗
This mod won't generate a photo in your sims inventory, or take you to picture mode, it's meant to be a storytelling purposes only.
How Does the mod work?
The interaction is in the friendly pie menu and it's under the affection category. It is an autonomous interaction that comes with a picture thought bubble and the chance your sim can gain the photography skill preference.
This mod is an interaction that comes with one buff per age group
Toddlers have a buff for the first selfie milestone moment only
Child sims have one buff
Teens to Elder have one buffToddlers will have a first time milestone that will show the sim they took it with under the milestone first category. It will show the location too and a lovely buff for the moment. Every other time a toddler takes a picture, they won't have a buff; just the first time only.
Once the child to elder sim takes a picture, they'll get a notification that they posted on their Simstagram story. They'll get the buff about taking a picture, which will trigger a cute text from a sim hours later. Toddlers won't have a Simstagram story moment or text message, they just have a milestone only.
It’s important to note if you have completed the friends forever event, then please only download the toddler only file, that’s if you don’t mind the interaction appearing twice. I still have to investigate on how to work that interaction in the game as an override to give you the rest of what this mod has to offer 💗

I don't quite understand the part about downloading if you completed the friends forever event. I think I did; if I download toddler only, what am I missing out on? If I did complete the event but download the full one, what happens?
You are missing the moodlet that’s what the og file has for child to elder sims. The toddler only file has the interaction for toddler sims.

You are a true MVP for this♡ my one question because I may be missing something: does the image appear in inventory after? I love it either way btw♡ I don't think I've ever been able to take selfie with toddlers or children before!
Thank you so much for this question. This mod is only for storytelling purposes. There will be no picture generated in the inventory or a picture mode when an adult sim takes a picture with toddler/child sim. I wish that would be a thing frr ♥
