By July 6, all creators need to combine their creator and fan profiles into one.

Starting July 6, all creators must have a combined creator and fan profile to keep using Patreon. Combining only takes a few minutes, and will ensure that there are no disruptions to your account during this transition. For more details, check out our full announcement from May.

What happens on July 6

Starting July 6 and continuing gradually into the week, creators who haven’t combined their profiles will lose the ability to use Patreon, including posting and receiving payouts. If that happens, you can restore access immediately by combining your profiles. You’ll be prompted to take action when you log in to Patreon, and we’ll also send an email with next steps.

Starting in August, if you still haven't combined your profiles, they will be automatically combined. Your active memberships will stay in place, but will be hidden from the creators you're a member of and excluded from your public profile. If you have past activity (likes, comments, chats, DMs), it will be deleted. Once automatically combined, you'll have full access to Patreon again.

We recommend combining your profiles now ahead of July 6 to minimize disruption to using Patreon.

How to combine profiles

Step 1: Look for the prompt

When you log in on desktop or the mobile app, you'll see a banner or notification leading you through the steps. If you dismissed it, head to your creator home page to find it again.

Step 2: Set your preferences

If you have past member activity and/or current memberships, you’ll have options for how to handle them before combining. You can delete past activity, cancel memberships, and adjust visibility settings. You can revisit membership and activity visibility anytime in your Privacy settings. For full details on each privacy control, see our Help Center.

Step 3: Confirm and you're in.

Once you confirm, within 10 minutes you'll see your combined profile take effect.

Not sure if it worked or if you’re already combined?

Check the bottom-left corner of your navigation menu on desktop, or the top-right corner on the Patreon app. If you see one profile instead of two, you're all set. On the app, try closing out and reopening to see the updated feed.

What’s new when you combine

After you combine, you’ll show up across Patreon with a single unified profile. This will give you even more opportunities for discovery and growth, because now your likes, comments, and engagement with other creators’ work will help you appear in more fans’ feeds.

Combining will also give you access to Patreon’s network, including the Home feed on mobile, where your Quips and public posts have the potential to reach a network of nearly 80 million fans, not just your existing members.

For Adult/18+ creators

Collaboration posts are available to you now, once you combine profiles. Over the coming months, you’ll also get access to Patreon Video and Quips. When Quips launch, they’ll be shared into your members’ feeds only, though they’ll be publicly visible to anyone 18+ on your creator page. Creators who combine before July 6 will be prioritized when these features roll out. For the full breakdown, see our announcement from May.

Evolving the network

Since launching Patreon's new network, we’re seeing growth across a wide range of creator sizes and communities. In fact, 70% of all new memberships from the Home feed are going to creators earning less than $5,000 per month.

While we’re seeing promising results, the network is still evolving. We’ve heard questions about how the feed works, whether Quips are driving real discovery, and how creators of all sizes can get the most out of it. We’ve published a Network FAQ that addresses some of the most common topics of interest to creators. We'll continue to share updates so be sure to follow along on Patreon for Creators to see what we’re building. For a full breakdown of every network feature, check out our post, Go get discovered.

Combining profiles is how you become part of what we’re building. The more creators who join, the closer we get to making Patreon the best place on the internet for creators to grow.
