Celebrating ‘25, and building momentum for ‘26
2025 has been a huge year for creators, and for Patreon itself. As December draws to a close, let's celebrate some of the year's biggest accomplishments -- both ours and yours -- so we can carry this momentum into 2026.
We started the year with the State of Create, which confirmed what creators have been feeling: platforms are more volatile, reach is less reliable, and income is harder to predict. But it also revealed a shift already underway: creators and fans are moving toward deeper relationships and more direct support. Your honesty gave us clarity, and it shaped the work we did this year.
From there, the focus was simple: help you grow. Creator recommendations have now driven over two million memberships, connecting more fans with creators they’re likely to love. Podcasters brought their entire catalogs of work onto Patreon through RSS importing, better listening data, multi-show, episode syncing, and later public RSS, making it easier than ever to centralize your work and reach your audience in one place.
Newsletters also became a more powerful way to connect directly with your fans, with richer media, custom buttons, flexible previews, and new insights. From culture-letters to sketch-letters, creators across genres turned posts into conversations and deeper community touch points.
2025 was a year of incredible creator milestones, too.
Twerk Ethic quit their full time jobs and became full time creators.
Good Noticings relaunched their show with the help of their members.
Alie Ward sold out her first live show exclusively to her Patreon community.
The Minimalists took a year off socials, but kept their Patreon thriving.
Gertie expanded her creative universe with a new podcast.
Culture Study, Burnt Toast, Throwing Fits, and Criminal launched new Patreons.
Chapo Traphouse hit a multi-year community goal of reaching their highest number of members ever.
Our new podcast network program launched with Sony Music, Wondery and Vox
What milestones did you hit this year? Share yours in the comments so we can celebrate them together.
This year also marked a huge moment: fans have now sent $10 billion to creators on Patreon. What was once unheard of is now undeniable: creators deserve to be paid for the work you put into the world. Whether that income helped you launch a studio, sustain a passion project, or build a community that feels like home, it’s proof of the value of your work.
To support that continued growth, we made important updates to the platform and foundation you rely on:
A more flexible post editor
Block and delete, which lets you block a member and automatically remove all their comments.
Unblurred preview thumbnails
A smoother queueing experience for podcast listeners
Benefit Eligibility Status Tool, to help you know exactly who should receive each benefit
Proof of Income letters, for the real world moments where you need them
Team Accounts, available to all creators
A redesigned creator page built for discovery and fan engagement
We also focused on giving you clearer tools to run your business. Updated insights, improved collections, pre-cancellation discounts, and new post performance tools all made it easier to understand what’s working and where your next opportunity is.
This year, we introduced a new way for you to connect directly with your fans with livestreaming, and creators outside of the US got access to a faster and more affordable way to get paid with direct-to-bank payouts.
We also shared what’s coming next: a new discovery experience built with creators, not “for you.” A personalized home feed based on overlapping fan communities, Quips for short, discoverable posts, collab posts to reach adjacent audiences, and a single creator identity, all designed to help new fans find you through genuine interests, not attention.
It’s been a big year, but none of it would matter without the creators like you who make this community a vibrant and creative collective. Thank you for building communities, pushing culture forward, and showing the world what creative independence can look like.
As we wrap up the year, we’d love to celebrate your wins too. What was your biggest milestone in 2025—creative, personal, or community driven? Tell us what you’re most proud of and let’s end the year with some celebration!

A Patreon that doesn't have a tip feature, which is everywhere else, a Patreon that only focuses on store sales and streams without a tip button. I'm speaking directly to you here as creators; we're listed as twinsofpeasantry so Patreon can see that I'm telling the truth. YouTube has everything Patreon doesn't: no need to post links everywhere, no algorithm, no tip button, and you have to go to Kofi. Store sales where they take part of our money and then take 75 days to give it back. They should just add a tip button; it's getting boring with the same old thing.
Patreon doesn't have a feed for you to reach more people, nor does it have donation options like a tip button or donation feature in our app. It also lacks discovery; all the work falls on all the creators. I'm twinsofpeasantry here on Patreon, and I'm discouraged after three years. Now Patreon offers reposts and big views, but we're still in the same situation. We don't have everything, and we have to do everything ourselves. There's no discovery feature on Patreon, which means leaving a like on Instagram, YouTube, or TikTok is enough to see if, by some miracle, people will pay for a month's subscription. The design is awful. There's no way for people to donate to the creator who truly wants to feel supported. They can receive donations during live streams with a donation function instead of having to go to Ko-Fi to find something Patreon should implement. It only affects our earnings and doesn't provide real value to creators or their patrons. Nobody says this because they want to keep doing everything without Patreon making any changes. I invite you to repost this and tell Patreon to do something about it. It's so boring being like this, waiting for something that hasn't arrived in ages.

Hi Laura. Creators can offer digital products, collections or individual posts for sale as one-time-payments outside of a recurring membership. Here's more information about this in our Help Center (with the language set to Spanish): https://support.patreon.com/hc/es-es/articles/204606215--Puedo-hacer-un-pago-puntual
Anybody else having problems when saving posts?
Hi David. Sorry to hear that your having trouble. If you haven't already, we recommend reaching out to Patreon's Support team directly so they can help troubleshoot the issue. You can contact them here: https://support.patreon.com/hc/en-us/requests/new
We recently started this awesome creative journey at the beginning of May, and we’re so looking forward to making friends in the weirdo, disabled, and artist communities! We're so proud to say that we participated in our 1st art fair! Check out our post about it.

Anybody know how to change the thumbnail to a video posted as a quip?
Hi Sethward. Videos uploaded within Quips appear as uploaded from your camera roll. If you wish to have a custom thumbnail or starting image, we'd recommend that you upload your video with the image you want to appear at the beginning of the clip as you cannot add customizations after upload.
Thank you so much for the offer of nice opportunities new performing incentives.
Love this! Follow our patreon its little!

This was really excellent. Lots of great information and inspiration please keep up the great work.
With all these new updates/tools, maybe next year I'll have the courage to launch my page 🥴 😳 Not bc I think there's a whole lot of people who'd be interested in subscribing, but really just as a challenge for myself 🖤🤍 Thanks so much for being a safe haven for artists, Patreon
There were some really cool updates to the platform this year! Thank you to the dev team for making them happen! ❤️ I really like the new landing pages especially, as it made it much easier to organize my comic pages/bonus content!
This year, I was able to renovate and move into my first non-rented home! This would *not* have been possible without Patreon.
Wow, what an awesome milestone, congratulations on your new home!
As a Singer-Songwriter, my 11 patrons alone pay me the equivalent of 55,000 streams a month on platforms like Spotify. Patreon is the future and I look forward to exploring your Livestreaming functions even more next year as well as just diving deeper into customization for my Members.
Go beyond ! Plus Ultra
Thanks to going full-time in 2022 because of my patrons, this past summer I was able to move my business and family from the US to Nova Scotia, Canada. We bought an old church by the sea to live in and work in and be inspired by. This definitely never would have happened without Patreon.
This is frickin epic

I STARTED making videos this month and in 2025 and look fwd to launching my Patreon in 2026!
Love all the features, especially the recent update to Bank Payouts. One suggestion I’d love to see is a split payment system for creators who run Patreon in partnership with friends. That would be a game-changer for collaborative creators. I’m also really excited about the upcoming Quips for Shorts feature. Honestly, this might help fix my reach issues. 2025 has been quite challenging for me, with reach dropping significantly compared to 2024, no matter what strategies I tried. Fingers crossed that 2026 turns the tide 🤞✨ By the way, Patreon is now my full-time job, and I couldn’t be happier. I truly love creating designs for 3D printing and sharing them with the community. The support and encouragement I receive from makers around the world means everything to me ❤️ Thank you, Patreon, for connecting creators with the amazing 3D printing community and making this journey possible.
Thank you for sharing this feedback with us, Sharry, and congratulations on making your Patreon your full-time job! Here's to continued growth and learning in 2026!

Patreon became my full-time income in 2025 and let me stay an entrepreneur! Can’t wait for 2026!
