ICYMI: One-step editor, free member welcome notes & new insights
We’re here with the latest product features, improvements, and fixes to make your day-to-day on Patreon easier. We share a rundown like this regularly — join Patreon for Creators if you want to be notified when we do.
📝 Coming soon: a one-step post editor
You’ll soon have a more flexible way to create and edit posts, rolling out to everyone over the next month. Here’s what’s new:
A draggable paywall to drive upgrades: Set longer text previews to entice fans to join, upgrade, or buy.
Easier public posting: Share posts publicly (now without notifying paid members) to help more new fans across Patreon discover your work.
Improved formatting: Add numbered lists, strikethrough text, and hyperlink styling that matches the surrounding text.
📊 Improved post insights with email opens and clicks
Get clearer visibility into how your posts reach and engage fans on Patreon and through email and push notifications. New post insights now show:
Impressions: Times your post was surfaced across channels
Seen: How often fans began engaging
Post performance: See total reach, or drill down to email opens, clicks, and push notification click-throughs for individual posts
Soon, you'll also be able to see how each post drove new revenue and new free member growth.
🗒️ Free member welcome note
You can now add a welcome note for your free members, just like you can for paid members. It’s a great way to share a personalized message tailored to each group when they join. Use the same note for all members, or create custom notes for each tier.
Head to Welcome Notes in your page settings to set it up, and get tips on what to include in welcome notes.
🔍 Unblur preview thumbnails for locked posts
You now have more control over how your locked posts show up to potential members. You can customize your post preview image, from cropping to blurring or unblurring.
👂🏽 For fans, a better listening experience with queueing
Now fans can more easily listen to podcast after podcast on the Patreon app. The redesigned queue experience gives you more control — and a clearer view — over what’s playing next, while smartly queuing up related media to keep the vibes going. Just hit the ‘…’ while listening in the Patreon app and choose ‘Add to queue.’
Visual queue: Easily access and manage your queue from audio/video post viewers and the miniplayer.
Manual controls: Add, delete, and rearrange items — it’s your queue, your rules.
Smarter queueing: We’ll auto-fill your queue with the best next unplayed media based on what you’re into. Or turn off autoplay and make your own queue.
🚀 Autopilot is coming to all eligible creators
Autopilot (growth tools that help you earn more with less effort) is rolling out to all eligible creators on subscription billing over the next few weeks, along with new features like upgrade previews, benefit expiration reminders, and more.
If you're not using it yet, Autopilot will be automatically enabled with smart defaults. If you’re already using it, your current settings won’t change, and you’ll get the new features automatically. Learn more in the Automate your growth with Autopilot Help Center article!

How about a split where I can add to a post for higher tiers members only, say to include links to higher tiers only, so I can include WIPS links for an update post to higher tier patreons only - saves me making two posts.
please revert back
Dear PATREON, Change is not always better. And any changes you implement should only apply to new content, not content that creators already formatted and posted the way they wanted it to be! I had some customized short introductory descriptions to encourage people to sign up so they could read the whole posts. The switch to this new editor erased my blurbs (i.e. threw away my work and time) and also revealed more of my posts than I intended to share openly to the public. This was a very inconsiderate and ill-conceived “upgrade.”
The new editor SUCKS. The scrolling and attach file features when posting don't work properly, and the new dashboard column on the right is horrible. It automatically set a series of paid posts with digital downloads to free, the tags are glitchy, just WHY. Change it back, this new version is the worst.
We want the annual subscription for all accounts! ;)
When will Patreon's editor support rich text or Markdown editing?
Never give up! nice job ❤️
Thank you. I really like this elegant and easy-to-use app, which keeps getting better. Happy to be here.
I'm glad they're finally doing something about the interface. It's been really, really, bad since they brought Nick Myers on board. It was great before that.
Dear Patreon, I have a question, do you ever plan to implement generative AI tools? (which I am very against it as a creator) It is important for me and other creators to know your opinions about it since some of us received a very concerning survey regarding AI tools.
Thank you so much for such kind and detailed response, this means a lot to me and other creators!
Why can't I post the product
Is YouTube video embedoon mobile completely broken for anyone else? It just hangs forever and the video is never added.
Thank you! I couldn't find the link
These are awesome! I'd love if we could get insights into how many times people downloaded our post's attachments (such as PDFs). It would give great insight into what content people are wanting (:
i like this idea!
Nice updates. Any news of when Patreon Video will be available for +18 creators?
The draggable paywall feature is amazing, I can't wait for it!
same!
thanks for all the work!
Curious for the thumbnail editing with blurring and so on. We had it for a couple of days and then it went away, leaving the modified thumbnail blurred
This is great. Thank you
Awesomeness
Thanks. Can we also get improved formatting for those of us who post poetry? I have been struggling with line height for years.
Agreed boring fonts we need to selection
Great updates. Can you please add the insights feature for Creators so we can see at a glance in our feeds or in our posts impressions, views and likes instead of just comments. Thank you.
The innovations are great, thanks! I'd love to be able to "Pin" posts from my mobile device. Right now it only seems available on desktop
Still begging for an Autoresponder for messages to help members with common questions, this is the 9th year of begging, probably will never happy but i'll keep trying!
Very lovely updates. Good time to be rejoining Patreon 😍
You guys rock! This is great.
Good to see some useful improvements. But of all the possible formatting options, you chose STRIKETHROUGH as one to add???? When are we going to get paragraph alignment, different fonts, colored text, image placement within the text and so many other, much more useful features?
If you use a fancy text site on computer you can copy paste different fonts into Patreon, but I *would* like to see image placement inside of text 🙂
Yes. This is actually amazing and makes the workflow a bit better.
Template or duplicate posts.
Yes!!!!!!
Again I'd like to ask that Patreon not use push notifications to send these messages. I read the creator emails and I appreciate the info, but I did not sign up for push notifications from this account.
You have to turn it off in settings.
Patreon, been noticing improvements since last year that are a game changer. Social media brought us here and now it’s time to get out of that car and enjoy this landscape you are building for us. Thank you!
Your "improvements" are not always good. For instance, you used to have it so sites were findable with search words, and now your search function is semi useless. It is costing me and others major money. Also, you should make it so the free membership option can be turned off. You maybe think it is good, and it might be, for just some creators. For others, it is terrible.
Just out of curiousity why would you want to turn off free memberships?
I love these updates soon! Thank you so much!
The draggable paywall was something I mentioned in one of your lives!! I can't believe it's here. I've been making such good use of it since this rolled out for me; thank you!! 🙏🏽
Do you ever go to edit or view posts and find it has duplicated some of the top lines of text? I can’t figure out if I’m using the draggable paywall wrong.
Love it! Please make it possible, to upload also files in the Patreon-App - this is actually only possible via web.🙏
Thanks for this
I already have access to all and loving all features! ❤️👌
Thank you! Can't wait for some of these upgrades.
This looks very interesting.
