ICYMI: Custom audio previews, pre-cancellation offers & more

We’re here with the latest product features, improvements, and fixes to make your day-to-day on Patreon easier. We share a rundown like this every month. If you want to be notified when we do, join for free.

🎧 Custom audio previews

Now when you upload audio longer than two minutes, you can upload a custom preview clip to go with it. Spotlight exactly what you want, or choose a continuous section as a teaser.

💸 More ways to create and sell collections

Collections help you package groups of your work together, like episodes, posts, or classes. We’ve made some updates that make it easier for fans to browse and purchase your collections.

• Customize and promote your collections – Choose different layouts for your collections, and add video, audio, or image previews so fans can get a glimpse at what’s inside. With these design updates, each collection now has its own unique landing page that displays your best work.

• Earn from new audiences – New fans and free members can purchase your collections individually or unlock them by upgrading, while paid members can continue enjoying your work as part of their existing memberships.

🚀 Keep members around with Autopilot retention updates

Autopilot not only helps you grow your paid membership without any work from you — now it can also help keep more of your members. Here’s what’s new:

• Offer pre-cancellation discounts to encourage members to stay – Offer discounts to fans who are considering canceling. Select paid members will receive an offer to discount next month’s membership.

• Boost retention with annual memberships – Turn on annual memberships and give members a discount for joining for the whole year, with the ability to offer up to 50% off annual plans. Creators who offer annual memberships earn ~10% more than those who don’t.

You can turn these on in the Autopilot section of your Promotions tab today.
