⚡️Quick tip: Offer annual memberships
If you haven’t enabled annual memberships yet, here are three reasons why you (and your fans) will love it:
More earnings: On average, creators who offer annual memberships earn around 10% more than those who don't.
A whole year upfront: Annual memberships are a great way to reduce month-to-month member drop off. They also help you plan your work and business better for the year.
Fans get a discount: Offer members on annual plans a discount as an incentive to sign up. It’s a win-win. You get their commitment and they get a reduced rate.
Find eligibility requirements in our Help Center article on annual memberships and set it up in your Promotions tab.

If my monthly subscribers switch to annual, do they get the discount I set up? Unfortunately, I can't offer them coupons, only for the new members.
Hey there, switching to annual pulls in your annual price automatically, discount included. That's separate from coupons, so the new-members-only restriction doesn't come into play here.
Hi, I meet the requirements, but the annual plan isn't available to me. Could you tell me why?
Hey there, we would recommend reaching out to our Support team for this so they can take a closer look at your account. You can reach them here: https://support.patreon.com/hc/en-us/requests/new
For me annual memberships have worked so well that I would like (actually, need) to disable monthly memberships and allow only the annual option
I don't have the option too do so.
I’ve been offering annual memberships for a couple of years now, and it is true that many people prefer that option. The downside is that I have less confidence in the renewal of An annual supporter who chipped in a larger amount just one time a year ago than I do a monthly supporter who has chipped in a smaller amount every month for 12 times. When people ask, I tell them I find the monthly option a more comforting support option. ☮️
I've had great luck with annual memberships. People like to pay and get it out of the way. I also offer a very small discount.
I've only been a content creator for a year, but I do have Patreons that have been with me since that year. I'm going to give that discount to them.
As I have no paid members yet it would be great to be able to offer this. However I see you must have made at least $200 in the past 3 months, will this change in the future?
They may make that change, but I don't think it will be right away, especially since 2025 is already approaching. I wish you to have Patreons soon.
