As a content maker with over 20000 free subs and 2500 paid subs (https://www.patreon.com/c/SECourses) and a PhD computer engineer (https://www.linkedin.com/in/furkangozukara/), Patreon biggest problem is the SEO. Still mere 140 character descriptions for posts we make is straight out a joke. People who can't see content of our valuable posts see nothing to subscribe. So we are literally getting 0 subs from Patreon itself or from other resources. We have to find and make people subscribe 100% ourselves. I reported this problem 100 times but still 0 action about this issue. Solution is so easy. We can make article public and make links (optionally) and attachments require subscription. Or we can make SEO version of pages that people see without subscribing. Moreover, still there is no code formatting! i requested this over a year like 10+ times and still nothing about this. Another major thing is picture embedding into post. The posts can't be organized because it is lacking so many formatting features that other platforms has like for 20 years. Also the Patreon main page is a disaster as well to find stuff. The comment / reply system is a disaster. I get an email notification of comment but when i click to go to reply that comment, it never ever works. Both on PC and on my Phone application. I have to scroll through literally 100s of comments and replies to find and reply to the valuable paid sub.

Will a recording be made available?
Please don't use algorithms on this site expect where absolutely necessary. I've seen the algorithms stuff completely ruin and destroy good websites just for "popular" posts or channels-pages.
It was really validating reading the State of Create a couple weeks ago, seeing that I'm not the only creator or fan who's struggling get posts to/ see posts from my favorite creators on sm (IG specifically). 💗 I'm interested to hear the ideas Patreon has for solving the discovery and consistent communication problem online. It's so awful on other socials rn that Patreon may need someway to completely circumvent sm. The recent updates to Patreon (creator recommendations, gifted memberships, free follows, item shop) are greatly appreciated by me. 🧡

might be a dumb question, but what do you mean by discovery algorithms? Google? Facebook? ex-Twitter?
Hi Adam. No such thing as a dumb question! Algorithms are formulas and calculations that websites and technology services use in all sorts of ways. In context of our conversation, we'll be talking with creators about how algorithms are used on social media and creator platforms to surface content, creators, and posts to fans, whether the fans follow those creators or not. For more info and discussion with fellow creators, be sure to tune into the Hot Topics event on March 19th as we discuss this in depth. As long as you're a member of Patreon for Creators page, you'll get an email notification when we open up the chat and schedule the Live a couple days before the event.
Yup, I have been doing alot of online researches about algorithm in programming this time around,technology is taking over.
There's no event chat on your page yet (maybe it's normal) — but I wonder, when the Live feature in Chats will be rolled out in testing for all creators, me included (I still don't have it).
Hi Valery. The chat will open on Patreon for Creators closer to the event date. Once the chat opens, a few days before the March 19th event, you'll get an email notification announcing that we've scheduled a Live, and you'll have the ability to RSVP and enter the chat then.
