⚡Quick tip: Drive free member upgrades by sharing samples of your best work
Did you know free members are most likely to upgrade to a paid membership in their first month of joining, compared to months following? And creators tell us that sharing previews and teasers of their work is one of the best ways to get those free members interested in upgrading.
With Autopilot's paid member teaser campaign, you can now do that automatically!
Now you can select up to 5 paid posts to give away as teasers to your free members. Patreon will then email these posts over a period of time when free members join, encouraging them to upgrade to see more of your great work.
Visit your Promotions tab to set up your teaser posts.
*This feature is only available for creators who share work for all ages.

I've not had great luck getting free members to upgrade. On the other hand, the free option seems to be a polite offramp for paid members, and I've had many downgrades.
Exactly. I hate the free members option. Always disappointed to get a notification someone joined for free. It’s a buzz kill. In fact, I begin to dread seeing any notifications at all because it’s always somebody who has quit. I keep adding more and more content to my channel and it seems to make things worse. Never had a free to paid upgrade, many downgrades to ‘free’. The free member system is patreons way of padding out their membership numbers for shareholders. they can say “look at these numbers! this person has 300 members” instead of this person has 100 paid members and 200 free” . I wish I could turn off the free members or block it from my total member view. The main problem with Patreon is people are leaving in droves and not joining anymore because no one has money. 99% of people who leave my channel put their reason as ‘financial difficulties’.
Thank you very much Patreon team 🙏👍😉
Hi to everyone, my Patreon is now 6 months old i've gained two free members to date. While I am grateful to them both a lot of work has gone into my Patreon with written articles, videos, slide presentation tutorials with disappointing results with no earnings to date. Should I give up as it is very disheartening?
Hi Sable Sky I share my patreon links on the community tab on my You tube Channel called: Declan Higgins - You tube Channel mostly and sometimes on Facebook.
