Potato Draft Poll
Who won the draft?

Found it...
Eric is clearly the only sensible one by making sure sweet ends up on the potato draft. Unfortunately, this also means I have officially agreed with Eric's opinions collectively more than I have anyone else's in the Regulation crew.
My opinions: French Fries referred to the French cutting technique of long thin strips. Valid pick as long as all other cuts of fries were still pickable. Potato Chips is valid cause you can season any of these dishes however you like changing the flavor but not the dish. Isn’t Nicks Smashed Potatoes just twice baked again? Sweet potato, not a potato. That being said, gross so he can have every sweet potato dish. Yuca would also have been funny. Couch is an all star meme pick. Old Tech is also hilarious. I’m glad some form of bread showed up. Best draft prolly of all time. The moments of silence, the discourse, good stuff. Keep on being great guys.
Sweet potato is an insanely stupid pick.
I hope Geoff is proud of this. Best menu IMO. I love tater tots too, but Geoff sold me on his description of his mashed. All the others are winners too without being first round picks
It’s not about who won, it’s about who lost. And Andrew and Nick both had losing opinions 😂
Ok Nick would have had it, if he had perogies instead of tornado potatoes
Very close between Eric and Gavin for me. Went with Eric. Actually shocked Geoff is winning so much when they have fries and chips but I guess people like mashed and such more! Wild
Agree with Geoff mash in the best. French fries definitely the obvious number 1 pick and a legit pick. Potato chips a legit number 2.
Eric won it was types of potato not how they are prepared
Geoff killed this draft he picked pretty much all my favorites. From a fellow potato guy.
I think Eric and Gavin should be disqualified for having potato not potato picks in a potato draft.
Eric infuriated me this draft. You can say that Andrew’s picks weren’t good, but you cannot say that he didn’t have more spirit in this than Eric.
Hash browns, French fries, couch, and Vodka
I was on Eric's side until he went Sweet, it's a yam.
Look the fry discourse was wild but Eric was actively choosing war with that sweet potato pick
tater tot is not a type of fry
Gavin and Eric taking French fries and chips is way to vague. You have to specifiy what the actual item is. Otherwise someone could have just picked their whole board as potato. Andrew lost me with the potato bun pick. Whole draft is between Nick and Geoff.
Andrew was making me pace back and forth at work with anger. It's not a potato chip flavor draft!
Eric really snatched defeat from the jaws of victory with sweet.
Mashed potatoes and any type of hashbrowns are instant bangers. Potatoes au gratin are such a sleeper addition to any thanksgiving meal. And potato soup in the fourth round is a great closer. Geoff wins by a landslide.
how did no one pick curly fries !!!!!!!!!!!
Eric had me at couch potato. Sold.
Crinkle Cut French Fry
I've never been so with Eric and against Andrew on one issue (French fries & potato chips as legitimate picks) and then so against Eric and with Andrew on another issue (sweet potatoes as its own pick rather than a specific preparation is against the spirit of the draft) in the same episode. Also, I'm surprised no one picked vodka.
The sweet potato is just such a dumb pick that goes against the spirit of the draft. The guys need to stop being afraid of calling Eric out on his bs
smiley fries SNUBBED
I love Geoff’s but Nick choosing pierogi has my vote, even if he had to change it.
Why isnt there a poll on french fries
Picking Andrew because its the funniest answer. Seriously though, Andrew, come on man.
Eric would've absolutely TORN into anyone else if they'd picked sweet potato or French fry
I liked the fuck andrew version on reddit
the thing is, Andrew was wrong about a lot of things. But he had the best picks. bad takes good picks.
Gnocchi is right up there for me, but I gotta go with Geoff's overall
I thought "Geoff by a mile" and I feel very validated. I did kinda like Nick's too
Mashed potatos are so goooodddddd. When they are done right.
I would have drafted lefse.
Wow, these are wild results. I really thought Nick's choices were top teir.
As a potato lover, I was most looking forward to this draft. However, it was harrowing and none of these lineups are really speaking to me. Nick, yours was the least offensive to me. I'm sorry.
add a not Eric option please and thank you
I am a nick vote, but I totally see why Geoff won. He was a close second for me.
There’s no way that Eric is losing. He’s got the best picks
This rules
Eric has the best board, but I do think that sweet potato should go the same way as the others. They could have drafted all the same stuff, but with sweet potatoes subbed in. Baked, fries, etc. but Andrew was wild and as wrong as I’ve heard him be about TONS of takes in a long time lol. No hate to him, just a crazy take to think you couldn’t draft french fries.
Gavin was competing with Geoff right up until beans and then Geoff sealed it with potato soup. Goated lineup by Geoff
Geoff picks had heart, were all potatoes and were all potato's that I wanted to eat. Unlike Eric who wants me to take the path of JD Vance or Gavin who wants me to eat a camera. Nick picks were all 4th tier picks from start to finish. Andrew was the only one who had a shot at the runner up spot but that crazy take on French fries loses my vote.
Y’all are crazy. Nicks was by far the best picks. I’m blown away he has 3rd.
I voted for Eric only as a sign of solidarity for the choice of sweet potato
All I know is Andrew is wrong
Never thought I’d be an Eric supporter but here we are
For future drafts can we get the option to vote against someone?
Forgot scalloped potatoes
Spudnuts being left off is a tragedy.
Eric not being the worst in..sane. Two of his picks aren't potatoes.
couch potato and shitty tech woulda been amazing picks. IF this was a Potato Not Potato draft. unfortunately this is a Potato draft and I cannot accept those within the spirit of the game. Geoff wins by default
Nice job, Nick!
I was gonna pick Andrew right off the bat with tater tots but then I just couldn't get behind the nonsense he was saying so had to go with Geoff instead
you would think with Andrew living in Canada , he would know that French Canada use the French fries all the time
French Canada is on the completely opposite side of the country to Andrew
Gotta give it to Geoff on this one. Only becuase I'm not a sweet potato fan, sorry Eric.
Sweet potato is the most wrong you can be with a pick here. I love sweet potatoes, but you can't just take a different tuber, as whole, as a "style of potato" or whatever the fuck. It's far too broad. Someone should have just picked "potato" and superseded him. I can't believe they let him get away with it.
I feel like I’m going insane right now because Andrew refers to tater tots as being a type of french fry like 5 times in this lunatic draft and somehow that goes completely unaddressed
Geoff, easy. He was the most genuine.
I voted Geoff because he was genuine with his picks while having the opportunity in his last pick to be funny. Eric lost me with sweet and then further dug his grave with couch.
who are the people voting for Andrew
Geoff wow when he mentioned Potatoe Soup. Thats something my mom would make me when I had a game or some hard work coming up
Geoff with the wholesome draft
Andrew had decent picks but his takes kinda ruined them. Gavin lost me at the end with the joke pick that I guess technically works but goes against the spirit of it. Eric too, but his third pick was both bad in spirit and in taste. Then between Geoff and Nick, Geoff had the better dishes. Even for the ones I hadn’t had yet.
I see "couch" and "shitty tech" as fun bits that are in the spirit of the draft; whereas "sweet potato" calls into question whether "sweet potato fries" or "sweet potato casserole" can be picked, which is against the spirit of the draft.
Eric just for needling Andrew when he deserved it most. He was off his meds this draft for sure.
I am going with Nick because I don't think he had a single bad pick. Geoff was probably second for me, but my school used to make potato au gratin for school lunch and it was one of the worst "foods" I have ever had the misfortune of eating. As an aside what's the difference between mashed and smashed potatoes?
I’ve never had Potatoes au Gratin but mashed, souped, and crispy shredded hashed won me over
Andrew almost had me with tater tot, that’s my #1 pick, but Geoff was best overall
Eric as ever is right about everything.
I think Eric leaned heavy into wacky picks ever since Andrew got away with the States draft, Empire State of mind pick. In reality this is his doing
IF Eric had started with Sweet and Couch, there would be a strong argument that it should be allowed. BUT picking potato chips and Gnocchi prior completely undermines his "interpretation" of the draft.
Eric, cause I wanna see Andrew swinging red.
French Fries are the number 1 pick, potato chips are the number 2 pick. Best picks
HISTORICALLY french fry has referred to deep frying- so around the 1850s if you referred to something as a “French fry”, it was deep fried (often precooked/blanched then completely submerging the food in oil/lard); you can french fry an onion or chicken. French fry is kind of a colloquialism for deep fried julienned russet potatoes. So I would say Gavin’s pick of French Fries is specific and valid. The issue is whether y’all would consider french fries a colloquialism or not which I think is the case. But yeah, Eric drafted a raw sweet potato so who cares about French fries.
I must have caught Andrewitis, because he is my number one pick for this and Nick is my number two. Send help.
I'm usually on Eric's side with these things but sweet is an ass cheeks pick. Sorry, big dog.
Eric is sooooooo wrong about sweet potato and everyone letting him was crazyyy in my opinion, but when he drafted couch. I understood the Eric argument, still Geoff gets my vote
Each person has one type of potato I have never had but Gavin because I’m definitely more of a once baked potato guy. So he got my vote
Eric had 1 good pick, Andrew had 2 and a half, Nick had 2, Gavin had 2, Geoff had all 4
I actually hated most one of each persons pick so deciding a draft winner was not great
As a poor kid often fed potatoes, I really vibe with Geoff and his picks. 🤙🏻
Yeah this is a potato draft not a potato dish draft. Any type of potato or potato dish should work including super vague ones like sweet potato. But you should also be able to draft sweet potato fries as a result. They are completely different things. That being said Geoff is the clear winner here
Andrew lost the draft immediately, Gavin lost the draft in round 2, and Eric lost the draft in round 3.
Geoff wins and it's not even close, he had two of the four horsemen of the potatocalypse- Mash Potato & Shredded Hash Browns, the other two are French Fries and Crisps (Chips). I actually cannot believe that he managed to snap up shredded hash browns on the return draft, they've talked about that one on more than one occasion, especially during the shredded vs cubed discussion part of the breakfast food draft and shredded was agreed to be the better choice of the two. I also still cannot fathom why Andrew picked tater tots first when he has been very vocal in the past about how much he loves both hash browns and mash potatoes, the only time he has ever mentioned tater tots in the past (that I can remember) was during the condiment argument and that wasn't even in relation to how much he apparently likes them. His picks are good, he's got a good list, I'm just amazed he opened with tots.
Only one with an actual spirit to the draft.
Andrew had some hot takes which I’m generally fine with, but potato buns just weren’t potato enough for me. Shitty tech, couch, and sweet were much worse picks tho. That’s why Geoff took it. Sorry Nick, but you’re a close second.
I dont know who won but I sure as shit know who fuckin lost
I don't even care if sweet potato is a legal pick, I think it's a bad one. All the other food picks are dishes that make me excited to think about eating them. When you say "sweet potato" and refuse to make it an actual preparation I think about just a raw sweet potato and that does nothing for me.
Since it’s Canadian Thanksgiving I’m gonna give Andrew a point.
Tater tots is a wonderful first pick. Fries are too obvious of a choice that it’s just not the best. Give me a loaded tot dish any day.
If Eric beats Andrew in the poll does that mean Eric was correct the whole time?
I'm curious if we should start considering less about the individual picks for who won. Instead we pick a winner based on discussion promotion, entertainment, and best reasons why.
I’m voting for Andrew because taking all fries or all forms of yams is unacceptable
Nick would have won my vote if he had kept pierogi
If Nick would have kept the pierogi, this would have been a closer draft. Unfortunately he let Gavin get into his head. I just realized no one picked potato pancake... that is a complete travesty. I'm not sure anyone truly won this draft.
Latkes are the best potato pancake IMO so not sure what ya on about here
Well Eric and Gavin disqualified themselves by not choosing actual potatoes so Geoff.
I was with Eric until he chose sweet. It isnt even a potato...It's not a tuber. Sweet potato is part of the nightshade family. Sweet potato is in the morning glory family. But..then couch...which is acceptable. I dont know it hurts the brain
Please please please when you do these can you put just a screenshot of the final draft choices. One day is enough to forget them all, and it's a complete faff going back to the draft to find out what they were
I don't personally think "French fries" and "potato chips" or "sweet potato" are in the spirit of the game as Andrew said. Might as well just have picked "cooked potato".
My thoughts on French fries were originally in opposition until they suggested that other cuts of fries would be acceptable. They didn't do that anyways, which is a shame because in my opinion McDonald's fries are mid at best, but at least they recognized it as a specific cut and not just every fry. Same with potato chips. I assume Eric means regular "fried" potato chips (which is by far the worst chip). I would've picked baked chips myself. I think sweet potato is alright as a pick since it has potato in the name and has a lot of similar culinary uses as regular potatoes while still imparting a unique flavor that sets it apart. If he started drafting specific sweet potato dishes though, I think it'd be a Nick situation where he's just using a loophole to copy someone else's draft picks.
I’ve never wanted Andrew to fail miserably in anything more than this draft. I legitimately almost canceled my patreon
Geoff won but im on Andrew's side
None of you picked roast and for that you all lose.
Andrew had the worst potato takes I’ve ever heard.
This draft has really put into perspective that I’ll never know how these will play out. Keep em coming!
Geoff had me as crispy hash browns and sealed my vote with au gratin. A+ draft grade
Cannot believe the person in voting for skipped on French fries and still demolished everyone else
I have never commented before but I hope the 3% of people who voted for Andrew know that whatever God exists has turned it's back on them.
I don't think (w/ baked beans) is in the spirit of things but jacket potato is too good to pass up.
I could see where Andrew was going with the “French Fry” category, but you just have to go for it in these drafts lmao
It was soooo close between Geoff and Gavin
Geoff Giga-landslide victory. Well deserved.
Not a single person having roasties messed me up
It took all of 5 minutes for me to know Andrew had no chance
Also, how did not one draft potato skins, all time best bar food.
How Nick isn't at the top I'll never understand. Geoff won you guys over with his heartbreaking poverty stories but Nick's picks are the tastiest.
This one was WILD
I will agree with the concept of different flavors of chips counting differently. There are plenty of potato chip flavors I don't like, but that doesn't eliminate chips as a whole. That being said, Andrew was exceptionally wrong on McD's fries and Eric pulled BS with Sweet Potato IMHO.
Nick, by a mile to me.
Gavin would have won in my book if he didn’t put beans on his baked potato
Sorry but Mash potato will NEVER beat Fries de la France
"couch" and "bad tech" were definitely meant for a "potato not potato" draft, not this one
This might have been the most wrong Andrew has ever been about anything ever. Incredibly entertaining though
Becoming a comment leaver to say I’m 100% on Andrew’s side in this one, and I think Eric is dangerously close to becoming AH Jack with his stubbornness (all love lol)
I second this
By far one of the best drafts created. Who knew that drafting potatoes would cause so much chaos and animosity. 10/10
Surprised nobody went with hot potato or couch patato...
Sweet potato invalidates Eric's draft for me. Gotta go with Nick one this (though he should have kept perogi).
One of those rare bits of content where at some point in the conversation every single one of them was blindingly stupid and wrong. Its like they were taking turns with the idiot stick
Andrew - Tater Tot, Potato Croquette, Hasselback Potato, Potato Bun Geoff - Mashed Potato, Crispy Shredded Hashbrown, Potatoes au gratin, Potato Soup Gavin - French Fries, Jacket Potato (w baked beans), Homefries, Shitty Tech Eric - Potato Chips, Gnocchi, Sweet, Couch Nick - Twice Baked Potato, Lattke, Smashed Potatoes, Tornado Potato
Thank you. These polls really need to be posted with what the picks were.
Geoff by a country mile. Andrew better get a record low number of votes.
I need everyone to understand that "french" in french fries is in reference to the style of cut and not the category as a whole. It is french fried potatoes. I'm losing my mind.
Lol yes, same! Kind of like how there are also french style green beans, referring to how they are sliced
1. Geoff 2. Andrew 3. Nick 4. Gavin 5. Eric (the sweet potato, as much as I love it, is NOT a potato)
last time i checked, my shitty computer isnt a potato. Sweet potato is more of a potato then shitty tech lmao
Eric is right about everything, but I'm voting gavin because his board is the best.
Sweet potato for the win
Eric's doubling down with couch potato was the best of the draft and I'll die on that hill. Geoff picked the best food, but Eric won my heart.
geoff won on pick one and then just showed off
Geoff definitely gets the win. Gavin is a closed second though, with french fries and jacket potato being two of the strongest entries.
Said to myself whoever drafts mashed potato wins, then he pulls out hash browns n bloody emotions with potato soup.
I wish Eric had picked Spud Webb just to send Andrew over the edge
Eric got creative with the format but if I could only eat potatoes prepared in any one person's list for the rest of my life, it would be Geoff's
So happy to see Geoff's first win
This was honestly a tough pick. Eric and Gavin had really good last picks that are better than any other option in this draft, but Geoff’s was the most well rounded. If he did go with Mr Potato Head for his final pick it would’ve been him hands down! And honestly, shame on ANEGG for not one of you picking Mr Potato Head!
Fucked up lil draft
Eric and Gav had strong starts and really threw away their leads.
Geoff 100%
The fact that Eric has 10% on 2 picks is WILD!
Gavin almost lost me with the beans potato but overall still my pick. I prefer a baked potato, covered with butter, which I know Gav would hate. So much bitchin over his taking of french fries and his pick of homefries was the closest pick comparable to it. I found that funny
Sweet potato is an unacceptable pick I’m sorry Eric
I was feeling that until couch was picked.
Geoff, and it's not even close.
I also choose Geoff's mom's soup.
I picked Nick bc his picks resonated with me. I see why everyone picked Geoff but I don't like any of his picks aside from hash browns. 😂
I came in her swinging red just listening to Andrew fight every single pick… Anyway Geoff wins
Someone should’ve just taken potato
Can’t believe Gavin didnt even mention the almighty roast potato, he has let his nation down
Would have been my #1 pick honestly
Genuinely what the fuck was Andrew talking about with the potato chip thing
The exact opposite of what he was talking about for mashed potatoes
Po-tay-toes!
Has to be Geoff. Potato soup ftw
this is a protest vote siding with Eric against the BS Andrew was laying down
The guy picked a raw sweet potato
Geoff with the emotional connections to his picks, easy winner.
I want to pick Gavin just to support him in this difficult time, but obviously Geoff killed this draft.
This got almost as spicy as condiments.
Was that spicy in or out of content? Can someone comment what podcast that was for reference.
I can't remember a draft with so obvious a winner. At least not for a while
Andrew at 0% as god intended.
He didn't have terrible picks but he did have terrible takes
This one is a slam dunk for Geoff.
