[Main Project] DragonSword : Awakening - DSMS ModLoader v0.7.0 Release!
Transform DragonSword: Awakening in Real Time!
I’m excited to release DSMS ModLoader v0.7.0, an in-game mod selector created specifically for DragonSword: Awakening.
Change costumes, custom characters, weapons and materials directly while playing—without permanently replacing the original game assets.
Main Features
Load custom characters and costumes
Swap weapons and weapon skins
Separate body and facial meshes
Custom materials and textures
Facial and body morph targets
Custom Physics Assets and Physics Animation Blueprints
Auxiliary meshes and configurable outlines
Support for base-game and DLC presets
Automatic recursive JSON scanning
Character-target protection to prevent incompatible presets
Organized filters for Custom, Costume, Weapon, DLC and Base Game content
Quick Installation
Install a compatible version of UE4SS.
Extract the DSMS ModLoader archive into the main game directory.
Keep the included folder structure unchanged.
The main files should appear under:
DS\Binaries\Win64\ue4ss\Mods\HMVDSMeshSelector DS\Content\Paks\LogicMods\HMV_DS_MeshSelector_UI_P.pak DS\Content\Paks~mods\HMV_DS_SELECTOR
How to Use
Load your save and wait until the game world is fully loaded.
Select the character you want to modify.
Press F5 to open or close the Mod Loader.
Select a category and choose a preset.
The selected preset is applied automatically.
Press F6 to reload the JSON library after adding or editing presets.
Additional presets can be installed anywhere inside:
DS\Content\Paks~mods\HMV_DS_SELECTOR
Preset filenames must begin with DSMS-. Subfolders are scanned automatically, so your mod library can remain clean and organized.
Built for Modders
DSMS ModLoader uses an expandable JSON v3 format, allowing creators to publish their own character, costume and weapon presets without modifying the loader itself.
This is only the beginning. Future updates are planned to expand morph controls, outline customization, previews and other modular options.
Back up your save before experimenting with custom presets—there may be dragons. 🐉
