Add more areas, more things to do. Maybe make a bar/tavern, where Rumi can be hired, work shifts, earn money, money can then be used to buy clothes and customisation, which provide stats, and can also be used to buy accomodation, where you can sleep and skip the day / night cycle. Maybe you can use the room as prostitution and Rumi can whore herself out to patrons at the bar.

Hey dev if you stuck on ideas, here three: One add competition with fellow homeless for food and john does with respawning crate loot, Two expand the map and add Stealth to avoid fellow homeless and guards during a sweep they do every so often, and three add mechanics to go from rags to riches. Lasty a tips, lean into the sandbox and add gameplay that gives players options till you find the gameplay loops, and maybe bounce Ideas of a AI it brain dead but can spark a idea or three. Edit: rags to riches could involve areas where you move further into the city. And expand the map adding a alley behind the shop and add a tunnel that goes into the center ditch then across to the alley on the other side would help provide a way pass guards at night. Also you could take a page out of LonaRPG where you trying to earn passage out of the city.

Just an idea, but maybe you could lean more into a thief style stealth game?
