Dev News
Hey all! Sorry it's been a while! Here's what's going on with the development of SEUS PTGI.
I've been putting most of my development effort into getting E13's tech ready for a first release. It's been much more challenging than I thought it would be as I've gotten closer to finishing. Then, OptiFine started adding some really powerful new features for shaderpack developers that sort of render some of that work obsolete, but that's actually a good thing!
The recent new features that are being added to OptiFine are really game-changing. The box within I've had to try to fit SEUS PTGI has just gotten a lot bigger! It wouldn't be right to not take full advantage of these new features, and that essentially demands a full redesign of the rendering pipeline. I now have essentially double the available render texture memory to work with and the ability to write compute shaders, as well as other new features to take advantage of. It'll be a lot of work, but when it's done it'll be absolutely worth it. Many of the things that I've wanted to improve about SEUS PTGI are now possible! Some of the new possibilities are: farther view distance of ray tracing and longer rays, more sophisticated denoising filters, more accurate shading of blocks in reflections, vastly improved appearance of moving entities/mobs, potentially a version of HRR that has better performance gains than previously released versions for the same visual quality, and a lot more experimental ideas that I've had floating around in my head. Compute shaders also offer new optimization techniques that couldn't be used before.
I'll keep you all updated on how this process goes! Or, maybe I'll just surprise drop E13! You all know that I prefer surprising you with good news rather than trying to predict how this kind of experimental work will play out. This is why I tend to stay quiet until things are confirmed and done.
I never feel that I can thank you enough for your support and understanding. I know I can't make everyone perfectly happy with how things are going, I can't even do that for myself. I'm just so grateful for those who have joined me in this journey and for those who accept and are supportive of my creative process.

Awesome, waiting for e13. Hyped. But currently E12 overkills especially with good res pack that is around x128 or higher
will the ptgi 13 be amd compatible?
10 dollars plus a 10 thousand dollar pc
更新了一年是要更新出來了沒
再怎么样也发个英文吧。。。(No matter what, can you send an English to the author.....)
Just $10 to turn my Minecraft into something beautiful? I'm glad to make that trade, again and again, month after month, even if I know I could cancel the subscription and keep playing on with the version I already downloaded. I spend far more money than that on things that aren't nearly as valuable to me. Thank you for all of your hard work thus far. You deserve every penny, and I am super excited with what I got. Anything after that is icing on the cake.
I shouldnt have had to pay £9 for a shader pack that isnt up to date, from a creator that is never active. I'll message you about a refund.
calm down let him take his time he can't just work on shaders all the time
Hire a community manager for God's sake. You're pulling in $60k per month and are silent.
exactly! He does not even respond to any comments, it is pitiful and above all disrespectful! There are small businesses that work hard on great games that would dream of making their salary, they work day and night and still manage to be very active on social networks to talk to their community. Him ... nothing at all, I'm starting to believe that this money, it takes it easy a little too much, it's almost laughing at us made messages of apology every 6 months
Hey guys you need to check out the cover he just uploaded, it's incredible! https://youtu.be/Ujfxxk1CQto he posted it to his YouTube channel Cody Darr
yeet
You don't do shit it seems. Never providing updates just raking in all the $$$$
Sucks we gotta wait so long without updates or an estimated date for an update on the project, but the dude has the best shaders of all developers. HRR 2.1 almost puts me at the performance of SEUS Renewed, so I can't wait for what the next one will be like.
Just saw this update now smh That's awesome news to hear! And it's equally astonishing to see how far you've come with your passion for shader-dev and that it pays off :D
Keep up the good work! love this shadder, and to the patsie up top, if you can afford a pc that runs this and are offended by a subscription to someone's work then maybe you actually cant afford to be sitting around playing modded Minecraft on your nice pc and should focus on work and getting into a better financial situation
just cancel ur membership before it charges you dum
I hate this guy making you pay 10 USD when you already paid.
paid 1 dollar for nothing but sounds exiting.
did i just pay 1 dollar for just to look at screenshots?
yes
Any more dev news? It's been a while
cannot wait for an actual release.
I'm eagerly awaiting E13. As a resource pack developer, the new features you've teased are right up my alley. Curiosity question if you ever get the time to answer it; will your per-pixel emission work on entities? Like armor/mobs/etc?
Just started using E12 with Patrix 64x, it looks absolutely incredible! But I've noticed that there's a lot of blurring on the cogwheels in the Create mod, which isn't there when I've been using BSL Shaders. I've turned motion blur off but it hasn't helped. Any advice?
Oh wait haha in E13 you're improving the moving entity issue, nevermind 😂 Thanks for your hard work!
cant wait for E13. Do you know if E13 will be compatible with mod lightsources? even if its just standard lighting not colored
Even a short update on where you’re at for your subscribers?
Can we get small pre-releases to test these things, I believe I speak on behalf of everyone who supports you but we're DESPERATE lmfao
I agree! Just like mojang does, the small pre releases are super interesting and keep me looking forward to the big update!
Gonna use E11 and E12 in the meantime. HRR 2.1 is nice though.
whats the diff because E11 and E12 compared to HRR?
I'm exited for Sues Ptgi E13
We're all still here and just waiting and watching my man. I've been using HRR test 2.1 since you dropped it and even with its bugs its my pride and joy. Keep doing as you do.
The pack looks great, GTX 1660ti with around 55 to 60 FPS! One question though, is there any more updated versions of the Hardtop Vanilla Accurate Pack? I keep getting a notice its outdated and some versions prevented my game from opening entirely Anyone have recommend any resource packs in general?
I recommend you to use two texture packs, umsoea and realism mats, which are best used together, but these two texture packs are very computer-intensive, so you need to choose the right pixel according to your computer configuration, personally recommend 512x
Downloaded it on my PC (ryzen 7 5800x, and 5700xt, 32gb ram) getting about 50FPS and other finished shaders give me about 70-80 so the performance is really getting there good job my guy.
Your work is unreal! It looks more realistic than the official RTX ray tracing and I'm running it with a gtx 1650 on 20 fps, 20 fps might sound bad but when you have GeForce g sync it works great!
Can anyone give me a step by step guide on how to install the shaders on java plz :(
download optifine for the prefered version of Minecraft. Open the download to install it. When you open Minecraft, there should be a new profile/version called [MC version] optifine[version]. Then play that version. Once it loads up, go to options > video settings > shaders. There should be a button at the bottom that says "open shaders folder" or something. Click that and the new folder that was made by optifine should open and you and drag and drop the shaders into that folder.
You're doing great. Thanks for you work, it really makes my Minecraft experience a lot better (and prettier).
keep up the great work cant wait to see your improvements!
I can't believe you did all this without compute shaders omg
Awesome! I'm pretty thrilled to use PTGI with POM since HRR2.1 and I certainly can't wait to see how you'll take advantage of Optifine's new features (and maybe later down the road Focal?).
i cant wait. cody you are amazing man. do ya thing
HRR! HRR!
I'm sure everyone will understand, thank you for your hard work! <3
69 likes, nice
You said about getting more performance gains in HRR at same quality, but would it be possible to tweak the values and create a middle ground where you gain performance without forgoing as much quality?
Why did you choose to have small waves for seus ptgi isntead of like in seus renewed? Just curious
You are definitely correct in your beliefs about the process. You really better make good progress before talking about anything ... Good luck!
Will you add a depth of field setting in the future?
E13 will be a game changer as I can see! thank you so much for the hard work ❤
nice! In the future, do you think seus will be able to use continuum's focal engine? (similar to optifine but it uses vulkan)
I'm definitely planning on working with Focal in the future!
It's good to hear some news, and it's even better that it isn't bad news. It's nice to know that some things might be a lot easier for you on the technical side of things. Keep up the good work, but don't stress yourself, because if you do, nobody benefits. :)
Very pog, keep on going youre slaying it king.
Wake up babe, new dev news.
Take your time dude :)
