Detailed instructions for installing the mod
Sul-sul!
I've collected all the useful tips for installing mods in the game to make it easier for you to navigate. Don't worry, it's not as difficult as it may seem! Just follow the instructions, and everything will work out!
How to install a mod in the game?
Download the mod with the .package extension
Move it to the Mods folder located at Documents\Electronic Arts\The Sims 4\Mods.
Launch the game.
What to do if a mod isn't showing up in the game?
Make sure the mod is compatible with your game version. (Launch Sims 4. On the main screen, you will see a text line with the game version information in the bottom. The version will look like a series of numbers and letters, for example, "1.82.99.1030.")
Check the mod installation. For example, if the mod is in "zip" format, it needs to be extracted using an archive program. Make sure the Mods folder contains files in the .package format.
In the game settings, under the “Other” section, make sure the options "Script Mods Allowed" and "Enable Custom Content and Mods" are enabled.
Make sure to check which packs are required for this mod to work (I usually specify this in the post). Without the necessary pack or expansion, the mod won't work!
Check your mods for conflicts (for example, using the ModConflictDetector program).
Try leaving only the necessary mod in the Mods folder and launching the game with just this mod. Sometimes another mod can block the one you need, even if no conflict is shown.
Clear the game cache.
If none of the suggested steps work, you can try reinstalling the game. Reinstalling might help if the issue is caused by corrupted game files. However, this does not guarantee that the mod will work!
If you've tried all the suggested steps and nothing worked, the issue might be related to the unique configuration of your game or computer. If you manage to find a solution, please share it in the comments — it might help other players! Thank you for your understanding and support!

I just arrived here and I love this idea of realistic maps. I have a question: if I install this map mod, will everything I’ve done previously disappear? Because I just cleared my map to start a brand-new save from scratch, and deleting all those lots was a huge hassle... Thanks so much, kisses.
Welcome to the Llama community!🦙💕 These map replacements only change the original map’s image in the game. They don’t affect any of your lots or builds, so don’t worry about your save! 😊
hey mama Llama so i downloaded the realistic map replacments and put them into my mods folder and they dont seem to work my game si update to the lates update
Hi!😊 I’ve tested all of my map replacements with the latest game version (1.126.73.1030), and they’re working properly. Could you try temporarily keeping only the map replacement files in your Mods folder and checking if they appear? It’s possible that another mod is causing a conflict and preventing them from showing up correctly. I’m also planning to repack all of my map replacements into new .package files soon, so they’ll work more smoothly with the latest game versions and help avoid possible conflicts. Stay tuned for updates!
how long does it usually take to load in to a lot with a sim? it had been well over an hour for me
Loading time mainly depends on your computer’s performance and the size of your Mods folder, but taking over an hour is definitely not normal. I’d recommend trying to optimize your game by cleaning up your Mods folder (removing anything you don’t use) and lowering your in-game graphics settings. If your computer is fairly powerful, the issue might be caused by outdated or conflicting mods that stop the game from loading properly
when i moved it to mods folder n i tried to open the sims to play it kept opening up origin app
I use the EA app to launch the game myself, so I can’t really help with Origin. But I’ve heard they’re shutting down Origin this year, so you’ll probably need to switch to the EA app. Try launching the game through it — it should work better 😉
More maps!!! Such an amazing job, but now half my game has AMAZING maps and the other half doesn't it feels weird LOL Keep it up, great stuff!!! <3
Thank you so much!😊 I’m so happy you’re enjoying the maps! And don’t worry—I have so many ideas for future maps, so there’s definitely more to come!
wiating for the new map~
