Weekly Report Number 77.

Hey everyone.
Today’s the last report before the update. My rendering work is completely done. Actually, I finished it back on the 26th and since then I’ve been coding, which is also almost ready.

I ended up with 104 images this week... So version 0.5.5 should include (if my math’s correct) 1,086 new images and 5 animations. Still haven’t done a full new run of the new content in both routes, but it’s basically the same as last week, about 1 hour and 30/40 minutes of extra gameplay. Words covering all the new dialogues add up to almost 16,000.

As you can see, it’s been quite a lot of work, and it’s almost finished, so I can say pretty confidently that the update will be ready to download starting this Saturday, in the worst case this Sunday... That said, remember that some time ago changes were made and now the download has different release dates depending on the tier. And people who want it completely free will have to wait quite a bit longer. Sorry, but it’s a way to give more value and preference to those who contribute the most. Especially since, for me, ITCH is already done. They still haven’t solved the big mess from almost a month ago, and no NSFW dev can get paid there... That’s pretty bad for those who literally lived off their game sales on ITCH. So if anyone here was using itch, sorry but I won’t be posting any more updates there. Not unless they show they’ve gotten serious, which I doubt.

I still have a bit of work left on variables, which is part of the programming, and on sounds... Then just a couple more tests and that part will be done. Finally, the Android version, which for the first time will use compression since the file definitely goes over 2 gigabytes. I need to make an extra build of the game with more compressed images to lighten the size and then create all the files for distribution. And finally upload everything...

I was planning to do a proper vote about something in version 0.5.6, something super important that would affect the game. I mentioned it on Discord but I have to leave it for later because right now I’m writing at two in the morning Chilean time and I’m dead tired. Plus, it has to be only for Patrons, so I can’t do it here because if I did it for everyone I could even get banned from Patreon... Some things just can’t be public because of Patreon’s policies. It’s often not that we don’t want to, it’s that we can’t... That’s life.

I’ve posted a few pics from the update above… can’t show more ‘cause, you know, a lot of the characters are kinda scantily dressed at this stage.
