Just more fuel for the censorship fire...

Haha... I’ve got some pretty fresh news that doesn’t look good. Just adding more fuel to the fire, I guess...
A lot of people here have downloaded my Android version of the game... Well, starting September next year, many of you won’t be able to anymore. And it’s not because I decided not to make an Android version anymore, it’s simply because you won’t be allowed to play it... And the best part is that by 2027, it’ll be a global issue.

Maybe you’re thinking "Okay, it doesn’t matter, I don’t use Android to play this"... Imagine, just imagine this becoming successful and Windows dares to do something similar... Nice, right?

Well, if everything goes as planned, I think there’s no point in me wasting my time making the Android version since September the next year... We’ll see what happens, but it doesn’t look good... And guess who’s going to stop it? No one. If Android isn’t used, what will you use?

So now we’ll face more hurdles: Visa/Mastercard, PayPal, Stripe, Steam succumbing to their will (though not completely yet). Patreon has long since bowed and become the most restrictive platform for creators, yet it’s still the most used. Subscribestar is slowly becoming more like Patreon. And ITCH doesn’t look good right now either. NSFW content creators still can’t even receive donations on the platform... and now, for the vast majority of us, Android will be a definite NO.

By the way, speaking of Android... I see some people using Apple and maybe they haven’t even realized they’ve been losing money for a long time, paying 30% extra. Maybe they didn’t notice or they don’t care, the thing is it was announced a long time ago, I even mentioned it myself, and yet I still see people paying through the Apple Store, wasting their money, paying 30% more than everyone else... https://www.patreon.com/posts/another-new-one-110093851

There are ways to subvert the mastercard/Visa, direct bank transfers as a last resort.. i know its not optimal but it can be done, set up a business account or a secondary account only for that

I don’t think you’re really getting it... Platforms like Patreon got strict because their payment processors pushed them. It doesn’t matter if a developer has a bank account to get deposits. They run these platforms, and having a bank account doesn’t mean you can ignore Patreon’s rules, which basically come from Visa/Mastercard. Sure, you can make your own website and figure out a way for followers to send you money... but people are here on these platforms, not your site. If you want to put your game on Steam, you follow Steam’s rules, not your bank’s.

The joys of people who think them know better than me on what I like. The more rights that are willingly surrendered to the state, leaves everyone loosing in the end.
