Grave Mistake

Well, last week’s sugar skull pin-ups weren’t exactly a big hit. And, that’s OK...some of them are just for me.

But it did occur to me that I’ve been overlooking an obvious choice, and that’s La Muerta. For those unfamiliar, she’s Maria Diaz, the vigilante from Coffin Comics (I really need to revisit those more). Think of her as a hot Latina version of the Punisher. Like Frank Castle, Diaz is a combat vet, in her case fresh home from Afghanistan and hoping to leave the bloodshed behind her (sad violin music). Then a cartel wipes out her entire family, so naturally she channels everything the war taught her into a one-woman campaign of revenge (angry violin sounds!). The main difference is that Frank puts a skull on his shirt, while Maria paints it on her face. That, and well, the titties.

So, for those of you who didn’t enjoy my Día de Muertos pin-ups... you’re really not going to enjoy this one.
