Mew-Tant

As a mostly DC comics guy, I grew up believing Black Cat was basically just a Catwoman rip-off. But over time, she became more interesting to me. Probably because she was one of the last characters in Marvel to still have some curves (RIP hot women in comics.)

But tracking her parallels with Catwoman are nothing compared with trying to follow her tangled backstory and character arcs. And now, it seems, she's going to be revealed as... a mutant..I guess? And she's joining the X-Men or something?

Not sure. But maybe that will finally explain her "bad luck" powers. You know, the ones that were just a thing, then apparently magic, then some weird sort of tech, then didn't exist at all. At this point her character has been reconned more than Jean Grey.

I guess we'll see. I just hope she's still hot. I don't really follow the X-Men, so feel free to enlighten me in the comments.

Sidenote: I think it's canon that Black Cat is bisexual now (bing!), so I really wanted to title this post "Bi-Felicia," but I thought that reference was too dated. Still made me laugh, tho. 😄
