Hey what should I polish

Sunday 17th will be the first polishing day, in which I improve something that's already in the game instead of just always focusing on the next sprint.

I'll put up a vote for this on Friday, but if you have any suggestions about things you'd like me to improve, let me know here and I'll include them!

My first thoughts were:

  • Add a new University Kink Vignette

  • Revise the onstage interview in Oceana ("where's the naughtiest place ye've ever been shagged?") to reflect the agent's actual sexual history from the Lifepath

  • Add randomised physical/emotional descriptors to Relationship Table NPCs to make them more unique and interesting (e.g. "A curvy/blonde/redheaded/bitchy/raven haired cheerleader" instead of just "A cheerleader")

  • Add a "dark mode" UI option

  • Add a sexual history table to the character sheet, so you can refer back to all your agent's sexual encounters

  • Add mom & dad jobs to the Lifepath, so your agent can officially be the daughter of a hard bitten murder cop, or a CEO power couple, or a stripper single mom

Let me know if you have different ideas that should go in the poll!

Dark mode and the stat trackers are both great ideas for polish

I'm partial to "Revise the onstage interview in Oceana". It might seem like a trivial addition but it's moments like that that make you think "Oh wow, my decisions matter!"

I like them all. I kind of lean to the dark UI first because it seems that he's caused issues in some other games which makes it a foundational issue that's best dealt with while the game's 'simpler'. But on the preference-side I really like the sexual tracker so I can see how much of a slut she's been. plus it seems the earlier this gets added the better as each encounter would need to hook into this

I like all of the above and would like more added to parents. Would be interesting if mother had a wild side that may have led to parent's splitting up but intrigued the would be agent. Discovered mother was an escort and served both male and female clients. Dad found out and split. Would be agent thought, hmm, I might be more like my mother than I thought...could be an asset or a liability.

I really like this idea (and your related thoughts, on Discord). I'll do some more thinking on how to include it.

What about going back to the Scotland/Dubai part (by "going back", I mean in the order they were developed, not in actual story narration) and making sure the same XP gains and various skills also happen there. I mean, there's no reason why the counter for sexual partners should stop at the end of the newer Lifepath part, and I suppose winning the miss Oceana wet t-shirt contest should count as Dancing skills, or maybe Performing on stage

Definitely the random physical/emotional descriptors for the table NPCs

The three I'm most interested in are "Revise the onstage interview in Oceana ("where's the naughtiest place ye've ever been shagged?") to reflect the agent's actual sexual history from the Lifepath" Though the option to lie if you've been on the more vanilla side should still be available "Add a sexual history table to the character sheet, so you can refer back to all your agent's sexual encounters" "Add mom & dad jobs to the Lifepath, so your agent can officially be the daughter of a hard bitten murder cop, or a CEO power couple, or a stripper single mom"

All of the above.

Since I'm a below $5 scrub and won't get a vote, I just thought I'd share my opinion here.

I like the idea of having a sexual history table.

I think all your suggestions there are great, that’ll definitely add a bit more colour to the Lifepath, so to speak, but I do have one suggestion. I noticed that the choice for upheavals are a little thin, so maybe if we suggest some good ones, could you maybe add a few of them in? Having one of our parents disappear and presumed dead is a powerful upheaval, but I’m sure there are others, like a rather messy divorce for example.

I second this, more options for parental upheaval sounds good.
