Happy Easter!

Hey guys! Thanks for all the lovely messages encouraging me to take a weekend off. 🥰 I left you on Friday but now I am risen , uh, back to work.

While I was off comms, our illustrator lovely Victoria sent over all the new art assets and they're looking so great! I need to code them into the game.

Today I partly implemented more detailed ethnicity code into the character creator. We're still currently only able to support ethnic European heroines (Africans and Asians are on the wish list, but will require more art and writing than we have time for right now), but you can now do more personalisation like German American (Jackie Bauer?), Italian American (Meadow Soprano after she graduated?), etc.

There's some cool logic behind the scenes, so when you're randomly generating agents a Latina or Italian American is more likely to have olive skin and dark hair, a heroine with an Irish bloodline is more likely to have pale skin and red hair, etc. You can still tweak anything you want but it's pretty satisfying to use the random agent button and get coherent results.

This is partly but not quite fully implemented (some glitches and bugs still), and should be completed tomorrow.

I also got time to properly test the thing I finished at lunchtime on Friday, the tanline implementations. The good news is the avatar looks so fucking good with a tan – it's weirdly visually compelling, she looks hotter than ever.

The bad news is I found a couple of annoying new visual glitches (like one of the skin tones not displaying an arm, and a tanned nipple appearing over the top of one certain hairstyle) that need to be fixed. These can probably be fixed with tweaks to asset filenames, but they need to be fixed which will take time. I'll get onto it first thing tomorrow, but "unknown unknowns" like this eat up hours when hours count. 😬

I'm hoping to get this ready for next Monday. 🤞🏻😬🤞🏻 I'll get straight back on it tomorrow and work as hard as I can. I hope you all had a lovely Easter weekend guys 🦀❤️‍🔥
