Wisteria Whisk - Part 1
Hey everyone!
First of all, I’m so sorry for being a bit later than usual. I mentioned earlier that I had a work emergency for two weeks, which left me with little time for this collection and even led to a bit of burnout. However, in the last few days, I've been working nonstop to bring this set to you. Thank you everyone for you patience! I appreciate how nice you all are! And in the meantime we're now over 17 000 followers! So thank you!
The idea for this set came from my experience creating Baker's Kitchen last year. At that time, I wanted to make a proper bakery set, but I was so excited to explore different styles that I postponed it. When I finished the Cozy Cabin Collection, I decided to start on a bakery collection, and then the news of the new pack came out—I thought it would be a perfect fit! So, I made sure to include objects that work well with the pack.
My main inspiration came from Japandi-style interiors with touches of nature. Initially, I wanted to create a floral composition, but it evolved into a set of wisteria, which inspired the name of the collection. The wisteria looks best outdoors; indoors, the shader isn't the prettiest, but it works like in-game plants and changes with the seasons (depending on the world you're in). In winter, it only has bare branches.
Since I made a full kitchen set I didn't have time exploring my ideas but I needed the islands for the bakery and I wanted to make cabinets so you'd have everything for a kitchen.
When the new pack came out, I took some time to study how the new objects work and noticed that the Sims team created specific displays for selling items in small businesses. It took me a while to figure out a way to make displays that would work with the new pack while also being compatible with retail stores. I saw that some modders made invisible small business items, which inspired me to create display trays. Anything you place on these trays will automatically be for sale. However, if you prefer a retail store setup, you can still use the larger displays without the trays.
Plus, all the display items in this set will help keep your food fresh for longer!
Sorry for being this long, I felt like I wanted to explain everything. Now I'm onto the next part as quickly as possible! I want to focus on the baker side of the shop now!

Hey, I just wanted to let you know that whenever I click the florals in build mode - my game closes. Thank you
hi! the wisteria plant textures are showing up corrupted with the question mark glowing purple. any fix? :(
Do you have all the files in your mods folder? All wisterias share the same texture and if you don't have the "original" file in you game it will show this error. The files having the texture always have the _texture ending in my sets so make sure you have those in your mods folder.
I really love this set. Though, I have an issue. When I place the little display on the top of the bigger one, even though I can place items for sale inside it, it is also marked as for sale and sims will buy it as well. I am using it on a home business lot, so there is no way to set it as not for sale, since cash registers don't work, as they would on a retail lot.
Hey! There's an option for every small business surface to disable sales. If you want to use the trays only, disable the sales for the big display and only allow the sales for the trays. It doesn't show up for you for the displays? I've just checked and for me it shows up.
Hii! I'm having issues with the wisteria hanging texture, every time I add it to my game it crahses :((
Hey, do you have the latest version of the files? I updated them not so long ago, (a couple of weeks) and for someone else who had the crash issue it has been solved after they downloaded the new files.
I'm having an issue with the wisteria. Any time I attempt to place it my game immediately crashes :( so sad bc it's beautiful!
I recently updated the wisteria because of another reason. It may have solved the crashing issue as well. Can you download it again to see if it works now?

Can I still download the display tray without the new pack?
Yes, it still works as a decor tray with slots on it. Although they don't keep the food fresh longer unfortunately cause the game doesn't recognize their tuning since it's from the new pack. But I checked and they show up and can be used!

Hi I'm a new patreon. Can you please tell me exactly where to find the: Refrigerated Display (2 sizes) Refrigerated Display Case . its not located with the EA ref cases FYI: I have the new ex pack. I have a ton of CC so using the search bar crashes my game. OR if you can upload a room OR the Lot in your photo with all the new items I can use your fab CC from the room or lot.
Hey! They are in the Surfaces/Display category. It's a good idea to upload a room with the cc, I might do that if it's helping people to find the items easier.
I went straight into my game after I downloaded the set yesterday and I was extremely excited when I saw the Wisteria, it is absolutely gorgeous!! Thanks again, I am so happy 😂

Thank you so much! I don't really like the in-game wisteria, the flowers look so weird in my opinion. I have plans for a future gardening set so I keep you idea in mind!

Honestly I wanted to do more bakery related objects for this first part too but I didn't have enough time. But hopefully after I'm done with all the parts it will be a collection full of items which are perfect for bakeries. So stay tuned for the next parts.

Thank you! It took me a while to figure out the best solution but this way you can put the tray anywhere and the selling function isn't tied to a specific big object.
