WOTM: Triumph Of The Fee Fees
So, let's add this confession to the pile. We have William Lane Craig saying that he lowers the epistemic bar for Christianity; that if there's only a one in a million chance Christianity is true, it's worth believing; that he has a self-authenticating way to know the truth wholly apart from the evidence.. and now we have this confession from another Christian excusegist. I'm not gonna spoil it for you. It's too much fun to watch.
Last week, I wrote to my daughter who's been concerned about my various health issues, and my living alone (now without any doggie friends). Despite all that, I told her that there isn't a day that goes by when I don't at some point stop and think about how much I love my life. And that's all possible because of youz guyz. I literally don't know what I'd do without youz. Thank you all so much for your continued support!!! ❤️
I'm gonna try to get that other Deity up soon, but probably not by the first (as formerly promised 😬). Sorry. I ran a bit behind, and I just wanna enjoy my birthday tomorrow. It took me 65 years to realize that my entire religious worldview was based on the fee fees between my two ears (a slow learner). That prayer meant talking to myself. That, if someone didn’t tell me that God existed, I wouldn’t know that God existed. That my knowledge of God wasn’t based on anything in reality, it wasn’t based on anything observable, it was solely based on things that people told me. In the end, my fee fees, mean nothing. They are a figment of my imagination. Thanks for the clarity. If it weren’t for people like you, I might still be lost in my fee fees.

Craig is using a version of Pascal’s Wager, which only makes any sense- IF there were only one faith available. It’s useless if there are thousands of christian faiths, some of which deny that all the others are wrong and possibly heretical. Fee fees indeed!

I think you may have hit on something again. You could use that "Feelings" clip the way Paulogia uses "For the Bible Tells Me So." That song is exactly what I think of when the discussion turns in the feelings direction. But since I'm not elite enough to have been visited by the holy spirit, I have only reality to lean on. What is truly pathetic is when believers are corralled together to share their fee fees, thus reinforcing each other, but also gaslighting those who don’t have them. It is a ploy to cause them to think: “There must be something wrong with me!” Such is the purpose in our former cult of having monthly “Grasp and Testies Moaning meetings."
