WOMT: My Relationship With Jesus
This one is just fun. As many of you know, my religious life didn't end when I left Mormonism. I almost converted to Judaism, then Catholicism, then I tried to be a properly basic Christian for a brief time. In this video, I talk about the differences between Mormon Jesus and Christian Jesus and how those differences affected my relationship with the risen Lord (all with my tongue planted firmly in my cheek). LOL! 😂
Thank you, thank you, thank you, thank you, thank you, thank you, thank you, thank you, thank you, thank you, thank you! You're all the best people I know. Enjoy! B

News about one of your early mentors: Trump-approved ‘Freedom Trucks’ are doing an American history roadshow. We took a tour of one. Although the trucks themselves lack overt politica:l messaging, the organization that curated the exhibit, PragerU, has deep roots in the conservative education ecosystem.
If your logic allows for one god, the floodgates are open. What's to stop you from having more? One, three, millions, why not? Polytheism is easier to understand than the trinity.
I still have an issue with the idea of converting. How does one just "convert" to another sect or religion? Aren't you just saying "most everything I used to believe was wrong?" Doesn't that beg the question "Hey, ...wait a minute...?"
Yeah. It did. I waited a minute and found my way out completely. But at the time, I was still under the impression that you needed to religion to make good children, and I had a three year old daughter. So that was my motivation.
I hear Jesus didn't take your break up well either. How can you mend a broken heart?
Right?!!! How can a loser ever win?
Interesting, Bri. My apostasy from our former cult apparently came later than yours, but I can't say I then tried to cling to "Jesus" via other christian sects. I did come away wondering if there was a god, but that evaporated fairly quickly as I realized said invisible sky-daddy must have just sat with his arms folded while Joey Smith pulled off his outlandish cons. Nooooo, thanks.
It was mostly about my kid. I was still under the impression that I needed religion to teach morality. I was still quite the indoctrinated idiot.
Another amazing and amusing presentation!
My relationship with the Lord really changed after we first met in a meadow of Golden gain and the Lord spake (yes, spake) unto me and said "Here, put my finger."
