WOTM: Children Playing With Nuclear Weapons
Last month, we looked at Tim Barnett's pathetic excusegetic, attempting to get God off the hook for the whole Garden of Eden debacle. In this video, I try to put that story in perspective, using the only thing I can think of which is, in any way, equivalent to what God unleashed on the world (hint: it's a nuclear holocaust).
Thank you, thank you, thank you, thank you, thank you, thank you, thank you, thank you, thank you, thank you, thank you, thank you, thank you, thank you! Extra blessings and indulgences for all on this highly discounted Black Friday! Enjoy! B

Good thing it’s a blue dial. If it were a red button we’d be in trouble because you always have to press the red button. I mean it’s just the natural order.
You know, when adults get together, say at a seminar, someone tells them to grab a handout, don't touch the thermostat, what time lunch is and where the bathrooms are. God didn't even give Adam and Eve that much. Nothing about the crafty talking snake, getting thrown out of Eden, what it meant to live under a God and that you had better do what I say, no questions asked. Nothing. What did he expect? That omniscient God knew exactly what to expect, and he got it.
Like 50 years ago, I am again feeling anxious that this Pale Blue Dot is going to end up a Bright Yellow Mushroom, given Gawd's chosen people now in power. Goes to show that he doesn't know squat —or just doesn't give a fnck.
Hey! I can get the god off the hook! The god's omniscience constitutes a list of all the god's actions that it carries out without fail. And since the god is eternal and unchanging, it's always had the list. That means there's no point where the god decided what's on the list, meaning the god is not the author of the list. So the god is a robot, executing a list of instructions from an unknown source! See? Not it's fault! (You don't have to thank me Tim, I'm offering this excuse gratis!)
Yes, there is definitely a problem with omniscience in terms of God's ability to choose.
Read Annie Jacobsen’s book Nuclear War - A Scenario. It gives a pretty stark picture of how humanity could end and the Keystone Cops machinations of our leadership in a crisis.
